The Del-Bar - Wisconsin Dells & Lake Delton
$$$$•Steakhouse•4.9(5,981)The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents. Rich History • 75 Years & 3 Generations • Award Winning Cuisine While flattering comparisons to steakhouses in Chicago and New York are regularly made by visitors, Amy Wimmer still cherishes this restaurant, her family restaurant, as one-of-a-kind.Canter Inn

Discover Wisconsin
Do you think skiing and Wisconsin go together? Now you can add food to that list! Due to a historically large Germanic population, you will find many heartwarming meals here. Hamburgers are loved in America, and Wisconsin took that to heart. Take some crafted, in-state cheese, add butter with the hamburger, and wrap with a bun. If you find yourself on the road, there are many varieties of Wisconsin sausage. You'll get hungry just thinking about the fresh cranberries, the official fruit of Wisconsin, and all the decadent desserts that include them. The discovery of lead brought miners from England that imparted their love of pasties, which is actually closer to a pot pie. While looking like an omelet, you’ll find an assortment of potatoes, rutabaga, onions, and meat inside Cornish pasties.
