I chose the place, because the lighting is low, and it's the perfect place for long, intimate conversations. The four of us were not rushed, and we liked our food choices. I asked to be seated in main restaurant, not bar nor big outer room. The hostesses said, "Certainly." My husband requested a special club sandwich which they accommodated. I was happy to have a lunch portion of scallops, which the waiter said was fine. Your short menu of Flatbread, sliders, pizzas is appreciated over large dinners. The service and friendliness are five stars!

If you're looking for an unforgettable culinary adventure, look no further than this incredible restaurant. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, and the service was genuinely warm and welcoming. And let's not forget about the food - every bite was a flavor explosion that left me wanting more. Additionally, the history of the place was extremely interesting with it'ss ghost stories and speakeasy atmosphere and prohibition tunnels, wine cellars and even Al Capone artifacts from his personal residences were all a part of this. Did I mention I got to explode a frozen rose over an amazing presentation of a chocolate mousse?? Located about 11 miles north of Cincinnati. This is an old 1890s mansion. Our waiter was a great conversationalist, knew his chefs menu and made excellent recommendation. Impressed us with a Frozen rose dessert that was truly an experience you'll not want to pass up. Will definitely be coming back. This is an amazing experience of fine dining and culinary skills.

We came to the Meritage for dinner and listen to the entertainment. The food and beer was delicious and the atmosphere cozy and welcoming. Sarah, our waitress, did a great job accommodating us even though she was overworked. We love the band providing music on Thursday nights. Very good and not too loud so we could still talk. We were upstairs and felt very comfortable. We will be coming again and again. Very good experience.

Went to Cooper Hawk today to try their new tasting flight for lunch at the table. Nice presentation with a small pour that equals one glass of wine. You have a choice of three different house chosen selections. Our food was tasty and hot when served. We went after the lunch rush so talking about the wine and with our waitress was easier to hear. Thank you for the birthday chocolate truffles at the end--sooo good!

Discover Cincinnati – Dayton

German heritage shines through Cincinnati’s dining culture, but recently the city’s been heating up with creative new cuisine, too. Cincinnati’s own Chef Jose Salazar was shortlisted for a James Beard Award, bringing national attention to an Ohio outlier. A new crop of farm-to-table European restaurants have been entering the scene as well. Downtown, you’ll find burger restaurants, bars, and upscale bistros. An hour’s drive to Dayton places you in the heart of a growing music scene, and the city is the unofficial funk capital of the country. We’ll cheers to that.
