Koko - Crown Melbourne Ratings and Reviews
We dined in a private room which had a tepinyaki table with a private chef (Kevin). The food was beautiful prepared and presented and the chef was highly engaging and fun to have in the room. This was a very special night and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the wonderful foo. The lobster tempura was a highlight.
Went to Koko for a dinner with my girlfriend and was extremely happy with the restaurant. The food was amazing and the layout was very good. Had a great city view at night. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend for people to go here especially for special occasions or date nights.
Koko is one of the Best Restaurants in and around Crown, however it comes with a price. But Food is good although the service could be a little better and genuine and rather not forced. Regardless I will still dine here occasionally especially if I am around the Crown area.
WE HAVE DINED AT KOKO MANY TIMES AND ALWAYS LOVE THE FOOD AND EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE.
WE PREFER TO CREATE A BANQUET FROM THE A LA CARTE MENU OF THE MANY ENTREES, SOUP AND SUSHI SELECTION AND OF COURSE INCLUDE DESSERT. THEIR BLACK SESAME AND RED BEAN ICE CREAMS ARE DIVINE. THERE ARE SET BANQUETS FOR THOSES WHO DONT WISH TO MAKE DECISIONS.
THE SUSHI AND SASHIMI WERE SUPERB.
THE RESTAURANT IS A MIX OF QUIET JAPANESE SERENITY PUNCTUATED WITH THE LIVELY CROWDS AT THE TEPPANAKI TABLES.
Hi we have been to Koko many times. We always enjoy the food and service. Unfortunately this time it wasn't as enjoyable due to air conditioning on my back for the night whilst sitting at the teppanyaki table. Instead of staying for a longer period and really enjoying the experience like usual , I rushed through the food and left as quickly as possible.
Started out beautifully with KOKO Tofu. Delicate flavour & texture. Sashimi was ok but it wasnt the best i've had. Chilled Beef Shabu was disappointing. Grey strands of meat with mushy eggplant, although the sesame sauce was good. Next was a very uninviting dish of salmon and tiger prawns. Everything was brown. Highlight was the salmon and miso sauce. The prawns were floury, there was a burnt tasting vegetable and the leaf it was served on also burnt!
Dessert redeemed them - lovely
Koko is a very friendly and pleasing atmosphere. The waiting staff are very helpful with suggestions and advice with prompt but not intrusive attention. We had the set menu and it was wonderful, more than enough to satisfy and all presented beautifully. Would like to thank Caroline who was our hostess for the evening for guiding us through the menu and advising us with our drinks. I would highly recommend this restaurant and thank all staff for a memorable and happy experience.
The restaurant is very nice with the setting, unfortunately the quality of their staffs have not level up with the restaurant. They lacked the professional waiter training. The food is average and nothing stand out. We had a la carte menu, and ordered the Botan and Suisen set and It lacks the wow factors. Unfortunately, this restaurant have failed on quality of service and food, and should not be on the premium restaurant dining experience. I cannot comment on the teppanyaki experience.
