Georgetown, we have a martini situation. Will Patton, the beverage brain behind Ryan Ratino’s Hive Hosptitality (Bresca, Jônt, Press Club), has built the martini menu at Ox & Olive into an actual history lesson. One running timeline, tracing the glass all the way from the original Martinez through the classic martini and into Manhattan territory. Shaken, stirred, and thoroughly educational. With me ;-D - Will’s shaking up the house Ox & Olive martini, gin fat-washed in thyme-infused olive oil, dry vermouth, lemon bitters, so basically an olive branch and a handshake in liquid form. There’s also a dirty vodka martini with a housemade olive brine, plus a chocolate martini and a twist on the Pornstar for anyone who likes their martini with a little fun in it. Up, dirty, twisted, filthy, extra filthy and most importantly cold, icy cold find me at Ox & Olive hiding, back there in the alley and you can thank me later.

This might have been the most exclusive dinner DC hosted this year where 7 Michelin starred chefs came together to collaborate on one menu creating a culinary Mosaic. Seven chefs. Ten Michelin stars. @michelinguide One unforgettable dinner. I was also in great company with my friend and Michelin guru himself, @highspeeddining as my table mate! Moments like this are why DC’s dining scene continues to shine ⭐️ The menu: Aperitivo Goat Sfeeha by Albi Dry-Aged Toro by Causa Oro Nero by Fiola Bluefin Tuna by Bresca / Jônt Black Bass by The Dabney Kohlrabio by Oyster Oyster First: Cebiche de Erizo @chefcarlosdelgg @causadc_ Second : Grilled Foie Gras & Cauliflower @jjlthedabney @thedabneydc Third: Rustikal Pumpkin Seed Gnocchi @oysteroysterdc @robrubba Fourth: Cubetto Genovese D’Anatra @chefantoniomermolia @fioladc Fifth: Smoke in Chimney Trout @chefmichaelrafidi @albiwashdc Sixth: Autumn Olive Park @r_ratino @brescadc @jont_dc Desserts Ma’amoul by Albi Macambo by Causa White Chocolate Foglie by Fiola On Berry by Bresca/ Jont Black Walnut by The Dabney Porcini Shortbread by Oyster Oyster Hosted by @fioladc @fabiotrabocchi 📍 601 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, DC #eloquentepicurist #michelinstarchef #fiola #dcdining

Yes, Jônt is a popular choice for special evenings, with many guests celebrating anniversaries and birthdays and praising the intimate counter service, wine pairings, and dessert parlor.
Jônt feels like an intimate chef’s-counter tasting room, an open kitchen and meticulous, attentive service put the culinary theatre front and center, a prominent hip‑hop/90s playlist gives the dining room a modern, upbeat energy, and guests are moved to a cozy dessert parlor for a quieter finale.
Smart casual is the guide, polished but relaxed; many guests mention dressing up a touch for special occasions at Jônt.
Early weeknight seating, around the 5:30 seating, is a lovely choice at Jônt; a guest who took the early 5:30 weeknight found the proximity to the open kitchen and the experience especially welcoming.
Yes, Jônt is a two-MICHELIN-starred restaurant, a distinction noted in the restaurant description and its awards history (most recently listed in 2025).
Yes, families are welcomed: guests report bringing a 10-year-old (staff accommodated the late arrival and made a child-friendly nonalcoholic drink), and another reviewer noted the team provided a baby bib.
