Best Seasonal Restaurants in Ravenswood

We visited Daisies on a Tuesday for dinner, and it was a full house - energetic and lively! The wait hostess and wait staff were absolutely lovely. The food servings are small, which was mostly a plus in our minds. (Very flavorful, filled us up, and less leftovers to have to worry about carting home - with prices that aligned. We did wish there were some vegetables on the plate, though.) We got the Pappardelle, Doppio Ravioli, Spaghetti, and Rainbow Trout. All were delicious!

It was great, the sushi was delicious. Great atmosphere and the omakase presentation read excellent!

Our party of four was very happy with everything about Farm Bar in Ravenswood. It was within walking distance of the wonderful Airbnb we were staying at in Lincoln Park, the ambience and hospitality were above par, and the food was to die for! Speaking just for myself, I had the fall gnudi, which just melted in your mouth, while exploding with taste. We had ordered home-made challah break for the table, along with all the possible house-made toppings (cultured butter, apple butter, peach jam, honey), and didn't leave a scrap. Two of us ordered the cider sangria, and the whiff of rosemary as the "Citrus Chamomile Vodka and crisp rose cider with spicy Xila hibiscus liqueur" hit the palate made me order a second one, just to experience that combination again. Highly recommended! I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Omg, where do I even begin. So I found this place on TikTok after being interested in doing Omakase in the city . I booked the 17 course bougie experience and wow wow wow. Everything was so fresh and perfectly put together. Also all the courses were different flavors and textural contrasts. I can’t even tell you my favorite course because they were all so great. From the mackerel to the scallop , everything was something like I’d never had before. I have never seen sushi done this well. I was worried we wouldn’t be full or satisfied with the single pieces at a time , but I left full and happy. Now let’s talk about the service. What an amazing team this place has. From the playlists to the personalized customer service we experienced from the second we walked in to the minute we left, 10s across the board!!!!! Often times when I go out I feel like customer service is dying but Tishon and the host Maya are experts in the field. Their energy is unmatched and I will think about this experience for a very long time . Maya greeted us with a perfect smile and Tishon explained the experience perfectly. Chef Non took care of us for most of the night , taking his time to explain every bite and waiting for us to finish before starting our next course. We never felt rushed and it was clear he really loves his job. Chef Yang was right by his side with the perfect assist whenever necessary. They make a wonderful duo. We talked to both of them about how long they’d been with the company and how much they loved and appreciated working there and their love for their job was evident in every bite we took. I wish I could give this place 10 stars wow. I can still taste that crunchy garlic and I mean that in the best way possible. I don’t think my taste buds have ever been so happy. My best friend and I made a reservation for an experience at the bar. Everything was delicious. Two drinks of your choice came with our meals. There were a few courses that made us understand why this is a Michelin star restaurant. There were so many flavors happening at the same time in a good way. I’m surprised they didn’t ask for any food allergies. My bestie cannot eat pork however, the Chef was gracious and doubled him up on the next course and some salsa to take home. That salsa was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend you try this restaurant.
