Since I enjoy the food and atmosphere at Steak 38, I did not hesitate to take Doris there on her 89th birthday last night.
Steak 38 the original did not disappoint from the valet parking, the greeting at the restaurant and the service when seated.
A Birthday card was waiting for Doris , along with a complimentary dessert and birthday wishes from the staff.
Doris enjoyed the clams on the half shell, while I had my favorite bowl of snapper soup to start with, along with a glass of scotch of course.
We both enjoyed the Caesar Salad and requested extra anchovies which was made fresh at our table.
Doris ordered the 8oz Filet medium rare , with their mashed potato and green beans, while I ordered the surf and turf 8 oz filet medium rare, with a 8ox lobster tail and baked potato with butter and sour cream.
The meal was delicious and cooked to perfection.
I look forward to my next special occasion there.
