Best Modern European Restaurants in Dandenong South

We had such a wonderful night for our part of 6, from classic cocktails, quality food and the best sticky date pudding - we felt very looked after by our waitress. It was quite noisy at the start of the night but by mains and dessert it was a lot more peaceful. Highly recommend!

We were a party of 10 people and had a set menu. OMG! The service was impeccable, water always filled, table always cleared at the appropriate time and the staff were very engaging, approachable and responsive. We could hear everyone at the table, it was not too loud and the ambiance was perfect. The food - where do I begin? It was so delicious and so plentiful. The flavours and offerings had something for everyone. Everything was cooked to perfection, with the same dishes being placed along the table so everyone had access to all offerings and was able to choose their own serving size. We all left with our bellies very full and with a smile at what a wonderful night it was. A dining experience does not get any better than here.

First, a confession: Assaggini is one of our favourite restaurants, so we came prepared to be delighted. We weren't disappointed, though! This was a birthday dinner for my partner and the attentiveness of the staff - including a surprise dessert birthday treat - made the occasion special. The menu is always entertaining and innovative. From the oysters with a mignonette dressing and Spanish anchovies we had as entrees, to the char-grilled prawns and pork-belly pasta mains, each dish delighted. Another feature - that we noted - was the pacing. There was plenty of time to chat to each other and savour the occasion. The wines, particularly Polperro's Heathcote Even Keel shiraz, were delivered promptly and complimented the meal beautifully.

We had a lovely evening. The waiters and staff were exceptional, and the food was delicious. The modern, inviting décor and gentle mix of Greek music made us feel as though we’d been transported to a Greek island. The sound level was just right, too—we could easily hear each other. We had breakfast at Mt Terrasse on Sunday, and it was excellent. The food was fresh, well-presented and full of flavour. Service was friendly, attentive and welcoming without being over the top. The atmosphere was relaxed and made for a great start to the day. It's clear the team takes pride in what they do. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
