Such a great atmosphere at Bills! Great environment and such friendly, professional staff providing excellent, attentive but not intrusive, service. The menu is varied and original to suit all tastes with a some delicious specials to choose from as well. The food is fresh and tasty, beautifully presented as well. Highly recommended!!

As a family we have been coming to the Fig tree over the last eight years. The first time I visited I was debating if I would need to get a takeaway from next door . However by the fourth course I realised that it wouldn't be neccessary. I have never had a bad meal at any point. The quality of the food served has always been first class. The wine flight is beautifully matched to the dishes in the Taster Menu. The service and the staff are excellent. I am surprised that the Fig Tree hasn't received a Michelin Star. Very much worth a visit .

A lovely meal with brilliant, friendly service. It was quite early on a Wednesday evening, so it wasn't busy. Food was a bit pricey but excellent quality, so we didn't mind.

★★★★★ A truly special village pub! Although it had been a little while since our last visit, we were welcomed back like old friends. Everyone was so warm and friendly, and it was lovely that they remembered us. We were given a wonderful table near the open fire, which, on a wet and windy day, made the whole experience feel wonderfully cosy and inviting. The starters were gorgeous, and the seasonal specials were exceptional. There’s so much thought and care put into the menu. Everything is beautifully prepared, using fresh, seasonal ingredients, and served piping hot! And the desserts? Simply sublime. Absolutely delicious and worth saving room for! The Cat Inn isn’t just another country pub. It’s a glorious restaurant tucked inside a charming, historic village inn, combining exceptional food with genuine warmth and hospitality. A real gem, and somewhere we’re always delighted to return to.

I read some not so good reviews but decided to give Drift bar a go. There were four of us and I’d booked a table. The server was absolutely amazing, so friendly, not in an over the top way, but genuinely wanting to make our experience a special one. And it was! Great good, good vibes and excellent service. I honestly don’t have anything negative to say about our visit. We had the fish and chips and the roast chicken Sunday dinner. Super quality and great tasting.
