Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in The Junction

The covered back patio appears to be in operation year round. Heated and cozy. Service was prompt and helpful. Cocktails imaginative and fun. Food was great. The salad awesome. The meatballs (3 served with an intensely flavoured red sauce) were remarkable- the best anywhere. The nduja and shrimp pasta was terrific. My companion had the Cacio e pepe. Instead of the expected toothsome al dente bucatini, the pasta was like wide lasagna noodles wrapped in the shape of a crown. It was ok but didn’t quite provide the same effect. All in though - great. We shall return.

Food and service were great. It was a wedn night so was a but empty, which impacted the overall ambience.

Amazing culinary experience. Found a wine by the glass from the castle we stayed in visiting Piedmont Italy which was an unexpected treat to start the night. The seasonal white truffle add on elevated what was already a well devised menu and progression of courses on the signature menu. The premium wine pairing was exquisite, well thought out and paired amazingly. The wines were spectacular on their own and changed in elevated ways when combined with the dishes.

The food was great! The restaurant has an amazing vibe and looks super classy. The service was top tier and our table was handled well. We had the chef tasting menu. It was catered very well and let us try a good amount of their favourites in one sitting.

This was 3rd visit to DaNico, outstanding as ever. From service to food- exceptional, the tasting menu was just perfect, they even made a couple exceptions that were just delicious. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable with all the courses and took the time to chat with us, he was awesome. Cannot recommend DaNico enough for a celebration dinner, just perfect.
