Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Peterborough

Bâton Rouge in Whitby never disappoints! There’s a reason it has become our go-to dining spot. From the consistently delicious food and exceptional service to the welcoming atmosphere and great value, they continue to exceed our expectations with every visit. A special shout-out to the management team, especially Jordan, who always takes the time to greet us and makes us feel like friends rather than just another customer. That personal touch truly makes a difference! And of course, we can’t forget our wonderful server, Maya! She consistently delivers outstanding service with such a friendly and welcoming attitude. We’re always thrilled when we see that she’s looking after our table! It’s the combination of great food, consistency, and genuinely wonderful people that keeps us coming back. Thank you to the entire Bâton Rouge Whitby team for always making our dining experience so enjoyable. Highly recommend! ❤️

The service was outstanding with a waitress that remembered us from last year. The food was very good with generous portions. The barn at The Grange is one of the nicest locations to eat - it wasn't busy in mid-week when we were there so it was quiet. We are returning customers which says something.

Excellent service. Terrific food. Server was on top of everything, pleasant and comfortable at the table. GM came and spoke with us on his rounds and was a great addition to the excellent experience.

We had a wonderful dinner. Oddly we both ate all our meals. My wife loved the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and I had the Chicken Fajitas. I was very pleased with the amount of toppings that came with the plentiful sizzling chicken and vegetables. I did find the tortillas a little tough but manageable. Your portions are way better than Lonestar.
