Our name comes from the Pennsylvania Dutch word for “coal,” a nod to the region’s heritage, and to the fire behind everything we do.
We’re not a white tablecloth steakhouse. Just a neighborhood chophouse that feels easy to walk into.
We take pride in our beef program. Salt and pepper only on our chops. That’s it. We let the beef speak when it comes off the Josper grill, the heartbeat of the kitchen. Wood charcoal. Open flame.

We ordered the wedge salad and the octopus to start- both were very tasty. We shared the pepper crown striploin which was a perfect medium rare and the demi-glaze with the steak went perfect with their tallow fries. The courses came out in a way that we never felt rushed.
