Our family business story kicks off with the Loder family patriarch, Bill Loder, whose roots in the seafood business trace back to the shores of New Jersey. Picture a young couple, Bill and Dolores, immersing themselves in the world of seafood since their marriage in 1954, just outside Philadelphia. Blue crabs were their roadside specialty, complemented by the charm of a small seafood joint.

In the past, what is now known as Safety Harbor was a land of water oak trees. Before Tampa Bay became America’s number one beach destination, the Timucua and the Tocobaga tribes settled here, fostering rich cultures. These early inhabitants gathered under massive oaks after hunting, fishing, and farming, sharing meals and stories. Today, the 500-year-old Baranoff Oak stands near our restaurant. Our family settled in Florida during the Great Depression, cherishing the local waters and land's bounty. We aim to offer a glimpse back in time at Water Oak, Hog Island Fish Camp, and Olde Bay Café.

Excellent ambience , food, service and value with Supper Club early dining. Includes choice of entree with mashed potatoes or rice, side house or Caesar salad and dessert. I had the meatloaf which was a very generous portion; my dining partner had the surf and turf which is a 4 oz filet mignon with a skewer of grilled shrimp. Everything was wonderful! Happy Hour Specials on drinks, too! Highly recommend.

We had a great time at Latitude 28. We had calamari and shrimp for starters. These were very crispy and fresh. The grouper was excellent, though my husbands steak was bland. We had to ask for pepper. It came with no sauce or side. All this and the weather and the sunset views. Unforgettable. Our server was great. He did his best to meet our dietary needs

Located inside of the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort, SHOR American Seafood Grill has the freshest Seafood and the best views in town. Our floor to ceiling windows and a large outdoor patio provides spectacular views of The Gulf of Mexico. Every seat is a great one. Outdoor Seating is available upon request but not guaranteed.
Whether Breakfast or Dinner we have dishes that please. Our specialties include the Crabby Benedict for Breakfast & a delicious Redfish or Florida Grouper for Dinner. If seafood is not preferred, we have fabulous Steak, Pasta, Vegetarian and Vegan options. Our full menu is available online. Parking is never an issue with SHOR, we offer 3-hour complimentary parking for qualifying meals.

The service was just as exceptional as the food. We order off the menu, Lobster with Mac & Cheese, which was on the menu years ago. Our server said he’ll ask if they kitchen could do it the answer was yes they could make it for us. Thank you very much!
