Sat upstairs near 2 larger groups which elevated the noise level but it did not bother us. Food & service was fantastic! Definately would recommend and return.

We came for our one year anniversary, the food and service were both excellent. The restaurant is very clean and the ambiance was relaxing. Highly recommend the bone marrow and steak au poivre. A slice of France in Maine. We will be back!

Serving breakfast and dinner daily, the Reading Room is a one of a kind dining experience. Delectable local Maine cuisine and attentive service are surpassed only by the magnificent panoramic ocean views.

Start your evening with locally farmed oysters while deciding between our signature Beef Short Ribs or Filet and Lobster Tail fresh from the boats on the Harbor. Linger over a slice of Maine Blueberry Pie while you enjoy a crafted cocktail and soft piano music.

Smart casual attire is preferred, but not required. We do not accept parties exceeding 6 people. Please note that we are not able to guarantee tables by the window.

As usual service was phenomenal. Food fantastic and servers friendly. The Reading Room restaurant is a big reason why we keep returning. Our server Holly for breakfast and dinner was exceptional. Do not lose her!

We drove by many times because our distant stay and this time decided to try it out and we remain very pleasantly surprised. In the "off" season early evening reservation is recommended to allow enjoying the ocean view. Wait staff very attentive and on the spot!!!

Enjoyed The Loft both in food and atmosphere. The sushi roll was excellent as was the Lady Lobster dish. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly.
