The Carriage House Restaurant at Houmas House and Gardens offers a more casual dining experience in one of the most beautiful Dining Rooms in America. Whether dining at our 40 foot long grand dining room table, or an intimate table for two, our style is Comfortable and Southern. Our menu is a collection of Classic Southern Dishes, with twists to make them our very own.

Please note we charge a $6-per-person cake service fee for cakes or other desserts brought into the restaurants.

Effective immediately, parties of 16+ dining with us after 4:00 PM will have a $45 minimum per person, including tax and gratuity. This policy applies to dinner service only. Thank you for your understanding and continued support!

Loved our server Angel! He did a great job and provided excellent service! Even sang Happy Birthday to my daughter! Overall a wonderful time! Food is not authentic but still good.

The food was great! The atmosphere is fun! And I don’t feel bad about bringing my kids! Caleb was our server, and he was awesome! He was knowledgeable, patient (3 younger kids), and always anticipated our needs!

We went for our anniversary and the entire staff made us feel so special and celebrated. They had us a rose, a hand written anniversary card, and truffles to celebrate us. Table service was top notch! Our entrees were absolutely phenomenal!! I highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

The service from the moment we walked through the doors were 5 star! The food was absolutely amazing! Never order gumbo in a restaurant but will definitely order it every time it’s offered! The crafted drinks were chefs kiss!
