The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents. We had such a lovely dinner! The atmosphere felt cozy and like an upscale Wisconsin supper club. The food was delicious and my steak was cooked perfectly. Our server Melissa was also so wonderful and knowledgeable. From start to finish, this dinner was such a treat. Would definitely go again!

The velvet buffalo is a fantastic place to have a fine dinner. The food was so good, the portions are large. I had the short rib and saffron risotto it was fantastic, my wife had the basil chicken. Definitely will be back.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The food was incredible, and the ribs were some of the best we’ve ever had! Perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was outstanding, but what really took the experience to another level was our server, Miguel. He absolutely knocked it out of the park! Friendly, attentive, personable, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. It’s rare to find service this good, and Miguel deserves some serious recognition! Between the amazing food and exceptional service, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll definitely be back!
