“This Must be the Place”

What's a Wolf Peach, you say? Well, it’s an interesting story.

What we know today as the tomato was first grown as a crop by the Aztec Indians. Spanish explorers brought the tomato back to Europe in the early 1500s.
In England and Germany, they were initially regarded as ornamental, but poisonous, a “wolf peach”. This is because aristocrats experimented with the tomato, but it ended badly—not due to the fruit, but because it was eaten on pewter dishes. Apparently, acids in the tomato leached the highly toxic lead in the pewter dishes, and caused illness and even death in many cases. The “common” folk, however, typically ate on wooden dishes, and had no problem!

Wolf Peach is a place for all of us regular folks. A little uncommon, a little unexpected, a little special. A place for everyone and anyone to enjoy a good hearty meal, scratch-made from Chef Jason Okurowski.

Friday and Saturday evenings will not accomodate parties of larger than 8.

We sat at the bar, and while our bartender was friendly, we got exactly ONE drink and she never returned. It wasn’t busy. We won’t go back. The food was average.

Place was busy. Weird that my dates food order got submitted in front of me and I was never asked what I wanted. Eventually flagged someone else down and got my order in. Otherwise, fantastic and highly recommend.

We love, Wolf Peach because the menu changes and we get to try different foods and beverages. The service was good. They have fun charcuterie boards and unique food options. It’s a nice date night option. The only thing I wish was different with this restaurant is that it would be nice to have some space. You have to sit so close to other people that it’s hard not to hear their conversations.

Thanks, Hope! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with us. And yes; unfortunately we are not a very big place, so table space is limited. (Can you believe we only have 64 seats in the dining room and bar, and we are UNDER what the fire code says we can have at 75?!?) All the same, we are happy to serve you and can't wait to see you again!

Great local restaurant with spectacular tasting food. Most of the entrees were light and fresh allowing you room for a tasty dessert. I recommend the donut. Trust me on this one... Ambience was good with the tables spaced well allowing a normal conversation. Definitely will be back.
