Kicked off the holiday season the right way: grabbing dinner and drinks with my bestie at @valerienewyorkcity, one of my favorite Midtown spots for festive cocktails and comfort food. If you’re looking for a spot for a more classy holiday night out, this is it. Warm lights, thoughtful decor, great music, and some of the best cocktails I’ve had in NYC. I ordered the Pearadox which was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. We also ordered the braised short rib, lamb ragu pasta with smoked mozzarella, and truffle fries…the exact kind of dishes you want when it’s freezing outside! Whether you’re meeting up with a friend, planning date night, or just want a festive little escape in the middle of Midtown… save Valerie to your list!

Good service,food was good not excellent but served hot , the room was pretty dark and table small, and it was pretty noisy, it was convenient to radio city, I would probably try something else before going back

Spinach dip and crab cake is to die for (amazing!). Ambiance was perfect whether you’re in a cozy spot in back or up front with the lively bar. Manager made extra effort to help out waitstaff to keep up with table service which was appreciated. Martinis $30. This was way overpriced. Come before 7pm and there are happy hour drink specials which are only $14. I would suggest they expand the options because the choices are bland options (insert sad face here).

Great vibe and atmosphere. Reminds me of the roaring 20s- Great Gatsby like. Food and drinks were amazing. Service was ok- slow at times. But they did surprise my daughter with a free dessert for her birthday. That was a nice touch.

We had a wonderful experience at Valerie. We requested a quiet table and we were seated at a quiet table. A lovely jazz band was playing for their Sunday brunch. The restaurant is lovely, the menu was great, celebrating a birthday and they brought us prosecco and dessert, so kind. Staff were all wonderful, can’t wait to return. Great place to go to before the theatre because it is a bit off the beaten path so not insanely busy as the theatre district restaurants are, but just a few minute walk away. Well worth the walk!!!

We were running late for the theatre and grabbed a very last minute reservation. What a treat! The space is beautiful, the cocktail menu enticing and the food arrived quickly, hot and delicious. Leaving us plenty of time to enjoy it all leisurely and still make it to the show on time. Thank you!

Great spot for pre-theater drinks and apps! Noise level was HIGH in the front part of the space, and we were glad to have a reservation to be led to a table in the back of the restaurant. Service was warm and welcoming, drink menu was very impressive, and the few apps we tried were all great. Will definitely return next time we're in the city!
