We are a Vietnamese restaurant located in the lower east side of Manhattan, offering Vietnamese comfort food with a twist.

Helen Nguyen, Executive Chef/Owner of Saigon Social, blends Vietnamese comfort food with French cuisine. A first-gen Vietnamese woman, she trained at Restaurant Daniel and started her restaurant in 2022, after pivoting to community meals during the pandemic. Named a 2022 James Beard Award Semi-Finalist for Best Chef NY State.

@saigonsocialnyc is a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant that has elevated Vietnamese cuisine with a twist. I had some dishes here that I’d never tried before. I always love trying new food and Vietnamese food I haven’t had too much of. I was joined by a fellow foodie friend @nabilalikes and it was great to meet her and experience all this great food. The vibes are immaculate. It's a small but very pretty restaurant. Here is all the food We shared: Banh Tet Chien - Fried Sticky rice with pork belly and Ming beans. Deep fried wrapped on a banana leaf Stuffed Fried Chicken -whole Cornish hen, chicken fat rice Banh Xeo Roasted Bone Marrow Crispy Fish Soda Xi Miou I enjoyed the bone marrow especially but I loved it all! The food was very good but the patrons were too loud and the sound controls were non-existent. No one else wants to hear bros yell while they eat.

Excellent food and service, loved the two signatures....the garlic noodles with prawns and oxtail fried rice. The mussels and spicy dumplings were also delicious. The owner was so nice..... definitely will be back for lunch to try their bahn mi.
