The food was excellent when we finally got it. The staff obviously had no proper training in a-la-carte table service. Starter took 45 minutes to cone (prawns and bread), when cleared no cutlery brought for next coarse. Mains came quicker, but then had to ask for cutlery and salt and pepper. At one stage staff were clearing tables and piling up dishes on other tables. Overall the food was good but then had to service was lacking, making the overall less than expected for the price tag.

Food was great, and service was good, however their booking system failed and they had to turn many groups away due to double booking We were lucky to wait for a table even though we had booked in advance

We don’t know how the food is as we left after 30 mins waiting for someone to either take our order or to at least provide us with glasses to pour our water into. We were greeted with I’m a trainee and the waitress will help you with your booking . Which is ok if they offered some indication on wait time or acknowledgment of the situation. We got silence and decided to leave after the waiting staff walked past 5 times without any response to our looks of concern

Arrived late after flight was delayed. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We were met by a lovely smiling face (after a long day of delays) and young staff near the end of their shift. They were all delightful and couldn't have been more helpful. I certainly recommend Plates Restaurant.

Very poor night indeed ! I had made a booking with your app, and it was confirmed by both email and text. When I arrived at the motel i decided to check and confirm my booking, but there was no record of it at front of house. Then with my family in tow we arrived to be told that there was no chief for the evening meal, so all we could order was snacks from the room service menu ! We had been to see a show and had a late booking, so we couldn't go anywhere else. Thus we had to put up with what was on offer. We don't get together as a family very often so we were all terribly disappointed. Then the next morning I went down for a Buffett breakfast, I really didn't think that could be stuffed up, but once again it was a total disappointment! Bacon was very undercooked and terribly salty, the hash browns were dripping with oil and could have been eaten with a spoon! Terribly hard to get any service from the staff at breakfast as they seemed more interested in talking and laughing amongst them selves! I will not return !

Lovely restaurant with good food at a reasonable price. The restaurant is inside the hotel but there is onsite parking for casual guests. My only reason for the 4 rather than 5 rating is that we were asked a few times about charging things to our room. As non-guests, we had to keep explaining that.

I was there with a client. Rubee D was awesome. She guided me and my business associate through our first time at plates. We had the tasting menu. With each delicious course she explained what we were getting. They also adjusted the menu to our dietary restrictions as well. I can’t wait to come back. We enjoyed the squash salad, spicy potatoes, scallops and cheese grits, delicious crispy fish. We topped the meal off with the chocolate pate and the almond cake.
