Drake is our "go to" in downtown Bend for early dinner. If you arrive before 5, there are good happy hour specials. A reservation at 5:15 offers a quieter dining opportunity before the crowd packs in. Drake has a unique menu of homespun favorites (think grits, fried chicken, savory gravy) and some fun specials (vegan gnocchi, fresh goat cheese filled ravioli). The Caeser salad is one of the best in town, and we're always delighted to find local Van Henion's IPA on tap. The staff is competent and friendly; if you come in during transition time you may sit for a bit wondering what all those people are doing as you peruse the menu, but with patience and a smile the incoming staff (sorting out what's what after a busy day at the restaurant) will get into their grooves and ensure you have a delightful experience. The kitchen staff pay attention to how the food comes out on every single plate, no matter how busy it gets. Highly recommend!

I was dining alone so I sat at the bar. I had to ask for a menu, I had to ask to order food, I had to ask for the complimentary popcorn, and the ravioli was so soggy it slipped around on the plate. The wine list was mediocre. The only redeeming quality was they did pay for my meal as they realized it was badly prepared.

The Drake was a really great spot for Christmas Eve. The service and ambiance were top notch! Our meals were wonderful! Merry Christmas!!

Great staff accommodated our party of 16 so very well. Waitress was amazing handling all of our orders with a friendly and professional manner. A great night had by all!

We loved our dinner experience at the Drake! Our waittress/bartender, Macy, did a great job and makes a perfect cosmopolitan! The food was really delicious! We will be back!
