A regular favourite for my family. Always good food and service. Our table is always ready at the time we booked it.

NOTE: Dante’s does NOT use OpenTable anymore. We turned up and they told us they didn’t have our booking as they don’t use OpenTable and were having trouble being taken off this reservations system. So either call or use ToDo to make a booking or else you won’t have a table waiting for you!

WARNING! OPEN TABLE DOES NOT LINK UP WITH DANTES! Open table allows you to book, but on arrival Dantes claim not to use the open table system. Therefore, we effectively didn't have a booking. Got lucky this time as they managed to fit us in. Don't use in future - call directly instead.

Food was good but the restaurant is starting to show its age We had asked to be seated away from any large groups but due to the layout of the restaurant it isn't really possible - We had a table in a corner right at the back which was just not that comfortable We have been a few times and our experience is always the same when there is just the two of us - Perhaps better to come in a larger group

Booked the table at 6pm and had full choice of times. Table for 2 at 8pm picked. Arrived at 8pm to be greeted by a slightly scruffy looking guy at reception who abruptly informed us we had no reservation as he had block booked out the diary a hour ago due to 2 large tables being seated. I showed my confirmation email, and he just said I don't have your booking, you can sit down but I don't know when you'll get served. I kindly reminded him it wasn't our problem that his system wasn't working properly and, after all it was just the two of us, but again very abruptly he basically couldn't give a monkeys. To Dante's .. is this the kind of customer service expected from your Resturant? If so keep your front of house guy he's doing a great job turning people away and tarnishing your reputation! If like us you find it total unacceptable to treat any customer like this then review you staff training. Maybe OpenTable also need to review restaurants that don't honour their bookings. Overall a wasted visit and won't return, and will make sure I tell friends and family too.
