The food was really good and the service, by and large was also good. But there were come weird glitches like being out of several appetizers and forgetting to bring us the wine list initially, and then again after being reminded. Very out of character for a normally very well put together restaurant. I’m going to chalk it up to a random rare glitch.

This is not a restaurant I would go to if you suffer from many food allergies. The food on others plates was simply outstanding but the food I received was basically tasteless because they used zero spice/salt/herbs. It was frankly hard to eat even though it was all perfectly cooked. And, they did not include a side that would have been fine for me. Not sure why. Chef’s choice.

Hi Erin, Thank you for taking the time to share this with us. I’m glad the service and atmosphere were enjoyable, but I’m very sorry that the kitchen’s approach to your allergies resulted in food that was safe, but essentially stripped of everything that makes it delicious. Accommodating allergies shouldn’t mean serving tasteless food. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I hope you’ll give us another chance—we can and should do better. Best, Bruce Clarklewis

It has a pleasant environment and the staff was very nice but it was so noisy that that we could not carry on a conversation.

Thank you, Lella. We’re glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and found our staff welcoming. We’re sorry the noise level made conversation difficult—that can certainly take away from an otherwise enjoyable evening. We appreciate the feedback and hope you’ll give us another visit.

Food was great! Service was great as well. However, it felt as though we were being rushed in a sense. Understand we were taking our time and having convo. Just maybe checked in too frequently, and I don’t mean this in any negative way. Just providing feedback.

Go for the most amazing Ceasar! Servers are delightful and maintain a quintessential portland vibe in a awesome industrial building. Yep you get street traffic and a painted concrete pillar as dinner accommodation and it is a solid stop.

Best of all the Burger Week burgers that I tried. We had amazing oysters, a seasonal salad, pasta, and dessert as well. Would highly recommend the brown butter crème brûlée.

I had an outstanding dinner at Clarklewis last night. The meal was quintessentially PNW, with wild salmon, locally grown vegetables, regional wine, and berry cobbler. Highly recommend.
