We looked at the menu online and decided to give it a try. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. My husband ordered the Wiener schnitzel. It was tender and a very generous portion. I ordered the tenderloin goulash. It was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted! The flavor of the dish was amazing, the tenderloin was excellent and the spatzel was the perfect accompaniment to the meat and sauce. I’m looking forward to my next meal there. Give Alpine House a try, it won’t disappoint!

My husband, with German heritage, loved the food. Our wait lady, Tammy, was lovely. If you sit on the porch, you can bring your pet Great!

Service and food were very good. Recommend the trout and especially the roasted chicken. Definitely ask for the crushed potatoes! Only issue was a staff member using very strong smelling Lysol to wipe down tables after guests left their tables. An unscented cleanser would be appropriate will people are dining.

Ambience was awesome Our order got messed up and served wrong dish, waiter made up for it with a few free drinks. Spaetzle was dry, schnitzel was yummy

What a gem! The food was outstanding- everything from the scampi to the schnitzel. The Bavarian pretzel was huge and delicious with spicy mustard. I ordered the seafood pasta and it was rich and creamy with an abundance of shellfish and scallops. The pork shank was divine! It just fell off the bone and was so flavorful. Ned was such a delight to speak with about his restaurant- he's a wealth of knowledge about the menu and wine list. Our servers were so kind and helpful. The whole experience was delicious and excellent from start to finish. We will be back!

Absolutely AMAZING! We are spending our Christmas vacation in Aspen and wanted to try this restaurant and we are so glad that we did! Our waiter Z was an excellent server and helpful with recommendations! We had deviled eggs, salmon tartare, and the pretzel for appetizers, all excellent. The Chicken Schnitzel was excellent, the beef goulash with potatoes was exceptional, and the ribeye was delicious. If you are in Basalt, this place is worth eating at!! The ambiance is amazing as well.
