The word ‘Miijidaa’ is from the Ojibway language that loosely translates to “let’s eat”. It's a celebration of our roots, foods, wine + brews; a chance to showcase cuisines that influenced our culinary landscape and to show off our northern bounty.

There are many influences in what has come to define "Canadian" cuisine starting with the First Nations, followed by the influences of the French, English, Vikings, Portuguese and more. Our menu is a modern take on our northern gastronomic history with each cuisine and tradition inspiring the tapestry of our culinary landscape that we hope to celebrate on our menu.

We were impressed . Food was amazing and Liam our waiter was great on reccomendations and nailed the suggestions . Ambiance was castle but cool and the art we liked. Bonus that they focused on local . Was real food and done well with care . Seemed an eclectic group when we arrived but we were impressed and will recommend people to go there and we will return.

I was visiting Guelph for four days and had researched ahead for a nice lunch spot. This Cafe was also subsequently recommended by two others locally. I had an enjoyable lunch with a Lin-time friend who knows it well. The food and service were great and I love having the bookstore attached plus the indie cinema. Lovely!

The pumpkin bread did not disappoint. It was fabulous! We ordered the halloumi and beet sandwich and the smashed venison burger with fries and the aioli. All were delicious. Service was friendly and prompt.

First night of the new menu. I had The Darling cocktail with real gin. Delicious. For my main I chose the trout (as did another friend) and the blueberry cake to share for dessert. Both beautifully presented and delicious! Two of my friends had the venison burgers and they said they were delicious, but couldn‘t taste the venison., Two others had burgers and one ordered avoids. They were very happy with their choices. Service was attentive and wait times were reasonable for what we ordered. Prices were reasonable and expected for the quality of the food.

Always a lovely place for lunch . Soup of the day was very flavourful . My heirloom salad was ok they could have dropped what seemed to be hot house tomatoes In addition to the heirloom ones as they had no flavour.
