The food was beautifully prepared, and the staff were absolutely enchanting—their warmth and personalities added so much to our evening. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner with friends at Whalebone Wharf and would happily recommend it, with one small observation regarding the pace of service. We arrived promptly for our 6:15 p.m. reservation for four and were seated immediately. The restaurant was still relatively quiet, not beginning to fill until nearly an hour later. Despite this, the intervals between seating, taking our drink orders, serving our beverages, taking our dinner orders, and finally receiving our meals seemed unusually lengthy. We also noticed several tables seated after us receiving their meals well before ours, although we made no special or off-menu requests. Perhaps this reflects a more leisurely approach to dining, which we certainly appreciate, but the pacing felt a bit uneven rather than intentionally relaxed. That said, the quality of both the food and beverages was exceptional, and the staff made the evening a genuine pleasure. We left with wonderful memories of dinner in Port Macquarie with our friends and would gladly return. Our recommendation? Absolutely dine at Whalebone Wharf—just tuck a little patience in your pocket!

We have ordered the risottos and surf and turf for the mains, and dessert. They taste so delicious. The steaks are beautifully selected and cooked exactly medium rare we wanted. The desserts are beautifully presented and yum. The staff are very reasonable to waive the wine. Thank you.

Not only was the food cooked to perfection, it was extremely tasty and plenty of it! Also, the service from the staff really caught my attention, they were all doing a wonderful job making sure everything was enjoyable for the paying customer. Well done Hoggies! 👏👏👏
