Il Corso (New York City)
They chose to name their restaurant "Il Corso" because it means "the path". Their goal is to guide their clients on a path to a wonderful experience.
We pride ourselves on selecting the finest ingredients for our recipes. In addition to our menu, we offer daily specials that your server will present to you.
Il Corso's warm, cozy ambiance is complimented by an exquisite selection of moderately priced wines, full bar and nurtured by a friendly and knowledgeable staff serves.
Absolutely delicious! Started with the buratta, which was so fresh and combined with salad, artichoke, and prosciutto to create a wonderful flavor balance! The main course was a fresh fettuccine with an array of mushrooms in a truffle cream sauce, simply out of this world! Can’t wait to go back!
Small local gem. Excellent service. Food was very good. Portion size is just right. If you’re looking for a big plate of pasta then not the place for you.. We will come here again.
Cozy and warm atmosphere. Fantastic, attentive service. Delicious food. I recommend the pasta funghi. I will go again soon!
Great food and service. Had the Osso Bucco which was excellent. The tomato and mozzarella, as well as the grilled squid appetizer were excellent. Ambience was perfect for a business meeting. Overall, excellent.
Delicious meal...great service and a fabulous place with so many to choose! Loved the avacado and artichoke app was unique and tasty!
First time there service was great food was prepared perfectly very well done we have some dietary need and they we’re very accommodating!! We will return!!
Great restaurant all the way around!!!! Food amazing!
Always great food and service!
Everything was truly outstanding.
We live in Brooklyn and we were hosting out of town guests for a pre-show Dinner ( Christmas Spectacular- With the iconic Rockettes). We were a party of five and were promptly seated at a perfect table and treated and greeted like we were regulars.
The service was spot on , the portions generous and the pricing , while not cheap, was very fair .
Our meals were EXCELLENT- and everyone ordered something different: veal risotto, Chilean Sea Bass, rack of lamb , duck ragu , Fettuccine, etc
We had salads and appetizers along with fabulous cocktails-Nero Manhattans ( or something called similar) that you could swim in and ended our delicious meal with yummy desserts!
No complaints and everyone left happy and comfortably full. I will return for sure as a NYC local and not as a family host and with confidence that our meal will be just as good !
Very good. Very neighborhoody not touristy. Always great service and food.
Best Italian I’ve ever had!!! Superb!! Felt like a quiet neighborhood restaurant.
Excellent food – the menu is full of unusual and delicious items.
Over-all we enjoyed our dinner, the food is very good, service is good, but the place is very noisy. Maybe the owner should try install some "soft surfaces" in the restaurant to absorb the sound, ie. acoustical wall panels, acoustical ceiling, etc.
A great find. Food beautifully presented and excellent
Short ribs the best. Fish fresh and delicious. Service impeccable
Wonderful food and service. Top notch. Pasta is fresh and the fish is exceptional. Can't wait to go back.
The food was ok but nothing special. Good service.
This was really a pleasant surprise for a place so near the Theater district. Very professional and cordial service that evolved into being authentically friendly during the course of the meal. Two of our three appetizers were outstanding and the third good to very good. All three of us chose pasta entrees and they were all terrific , far exceeding our expectations. The wine list offered some good moderately priced ( for Manhattan) bottle options , particularly so with the Italian reds.
We chose this spot because the menu looked great...and it was!! We enjoyed a quiet table with an excellent server...my first choice always.
Good as usual
Portions could be a little bit more generous. Also, some parmigiana cheese blocks and bread with diced tomatoes would be great to bring to the table, it’s very popular in many Italian restaurants here. Overall, very good.
This little cozy Italian restaurant served us the best food compared to the other 4-5 star restaurants we tried over our visit. Welcoming hostess and great, quiet service from wait staff. I asked for a little addition of fresh fennel with the sweet sausage w pistachio cream sauce pasta dish. It was mind blowing delicious! My husband thought the evening special of double cut pork chop with sauteed spinach was very generous, perfectly cooked along with tasting remarkable..
A great meal, fantastic wine list, for you to try new regions in Italy, all courses were perfect appetizers main course and desert! We will be back!
This was a second visit. It is an excellent choice in the area.
Great on all counts but for the noise level. Very difficult to carry on a conversation and be heard.
Great meal and service however acoustics in dining room made it very difficult to have a conversation.
Fabulous Italian, on the pricey side but worth it for a treat.
It was my wife birthday.
It was just OK. I had great expectations. Party of 4, two meals were good- Bolognese and fusilli w/sausage. Two were not good - flat tube noodles with lobster/brandy sauce (over cooked lobster and fishy sauce), Veal ragu special (no taste). Appetizer special Arancini balls were terrible - no flavor.
My first visit to this restaurant - great food and terrific service; delicious squash soup followed by halibut. The waiter was unusually friendly and helpful. Noise level was very reasonable. Strongly recommend.
This is a small intimate Italian restaurant located close to Radio City Music Hall. The food was good, but the portions are quite small. We loved the ambience and will return.
Excellent food with great service. Always a pleasure. Had the Bisteca Fiorentine and it was perfect.
Let's say that you are visiting mid-town Manhattan in New York City and you want some memorably great Italian food from some little local place that isn't a chain, but you don't want to fall into some expensive tourist trap either. Your answer very well could be Il Corso, which is one of those very small places (reservations usually necessary) which has truly outstanding food and wine at a very reasonable price. Their lasagna is, quite frankly, markedly better than any that I encountered while touring Italy and is of the melt-in-your mouth varietal. Highly recommended, though noting that it is not going to be good for large or even moderately-sized parties -- probably 4 or 5 is about all you'll be able to squeeze in, as it is a very cozy and romantic place, and not a place aimed at corporate America. Oh, and portion sizes are not small so don't plan on going for a jog afterwards.
Everything was wonderful
Absolutely fantastic food and great service. I was incredibly impressed.
We had a perfect lunch. Thank you!

Great restaurant with friendly staff. Food is excellent. You’ll need to book ahead to be sure of a table.
Super nice staff. Great food.
Lovely little restaurant. We loved the vibe as soon as we arrived. Nice music playing, happy looking servers (which is what I look for immediately).
We started with a cocktail and didn’t feel rushed to order. So we enjoyed our drinks. We had the burrata to start , I would recommend highly. My husband had the veal pasta special and I had
Il Corso was a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, quiet, and wonderful food. The whole staff is great and accommodating. Genaro took wonderful care of us all evening.
