Smallish space, very good food, excellent pasta. Classic Italian food, and very fresh.
Terrific specials and excellent attentive service
A great find! Pass by it all the time but finally made a reservation. First time was very surprised at how good the food is. Then I booked it a 2nd time and it was still very good! They have a long list of specials each time too. Staff was very nice and it was a quaint restaurant. Will go back for sure!
Greeted when entered the restaurant.
Service was attentive without being too much.
Not rushed which was appreciated since it was a business discussion.
Food was delicious!
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant.
We booked this restaurant after reading other reviews, the staff were friendly and the food was the best we had in New York - we will definitely be recommending to other colleagues who are visiting NY in the near future.
Cozy, crowded place. Eaten there many times. Food is very good Italian and staff is friendly and welcoming. You never fell rushed.
Delicious Italian food, great menu selection.
Always a pleasure to dine here. The food is delicious, the wait staff is attentive, and the ambiance is wonderful. A true gem.
What a fabulous find! This restaurant serves excellent food. We loved our appetizers (the special, a potato leak soup; asparagus and salad) and thoroughly enjoyed our main dishes (seafood pasta; branzino; veal al fungi). We were also pleased about our shared desert (tiramisu). Everything was cooked to perfection. Service and ambience were excellent, too. We will be back!
Best kept secret in NYC. My favorite little spot for great Italian.
Awesome Cacio E Pepe and the Buratta was Delish.
First time at this wonderful delightful lovely restaurant. Food, service, ambiance all great. Requests all satisfied (extra delicious focaccia for example) and no rush when we lingered over coffee and dessert. Delicious seafood and pasta. Special black ink pasta. Best lasagna ever was the verdict too. So happy we came and will come back. Thank you!
Delicious food and very attentive service. It's somewhere between casual and upscale dining.
Everything was perfect! We will be back.
Excellent meal. Very good portions. Although everything is made fresh, did not have to wait that long for the meals to come.
Food was too buttery for my taste. Wine selection was OK, not great. Portions were sizable.
One of our best meals in New York!
Traditional Italian ambiance with great food. Nice quiet restaurant with very attentive service.
Lovely place with exceptional food and service. And, you can have a conversation without shouting above the crowd. Highly recommended.
I will definitely go back !!!
We enjoyed the ambience (sophisticated; casual) and attentive, friendly service. Our waiter offered to check on a pasta that was not on the menu, and the chef prepared it to order. Glad to know of a good choice near City Center!
We love Il Corso!! Whenever we are in NYC, this is where we have dinner. The food is always delicious, the staff are always friendly and courteous, and we love the ambience. We highly recommend a visit. You will not be disappointed.
What can i say.....when I go to the theater I love Il Corso. While the food is "high end" it also has a homemade quality to it. The pasta, all of the pasta I have ever had there, is perfect; I am not crazy about the lasagna but only because I don't like meat in it. My friends enjoyed fish dishes (halibut maybe my favorite pasta dish ever.
I visit NYC several times a year and make it a point to go to Il Corso every time. Wonderful neighborhood restaurant with delicious food and amazing service. It’s a little gem!
Such a cute neighborhood spot. Delicious pasta and nice wine selection.
Absolutely exquisite food and exceptional service! My new favourite Italian restaurant in New York.
I used to go here regularly 5+ years ago and went back for the first time on Saturday. The service was good but the food was disappointing.
This restaurant is both elegant and casual. Service is professional. Food is excellent. Wine list has a great many choices, mostly Italian, but there are both good values and some exquisite wines. I’ve been coming here for years and the food is always top notch, fresh and the choices are many. Service is friendly, personal and always professional. The front of the restaurant is prettier but the back is a little quieter.
Still the best after over 20 years of dining here.
Already have. Great food, ample room, good service and nice atmosphere.
Welcoming staff. Impeccable service. Classic Italian dishes. An oasis of civility.
The atmosphere is basic. The service is exceptional. The wine selection very good. The lasagna was incredible. BUT the grilled calamari was like rubber and the fruitti Di mare had overcooked seafood and undercooked pasta.
Wonderful experience. If the cured salmon aperitif is available, to die for!
Dinner was excellent as it is always. One of the best Italian restaurants in the city. A hidden gem
Always like family when we go, wonderful service and excellent food
Food was great and the staff was terrific. Noise level is high when restaurant is at full capacity.
Loved the restaurant ! Fabulous however the back dining area can get very loud and there was one table that made it even worse. Not sure what staff could have done. Tough situation. I would eat next time in the front bar area.
Delicious food, nice wine list, excellent service. We always have a meal here when in the city.
Food was not as good as we hoped and it was very expensive.
First time trying this adorable restaurant. Great service and ambiance. The food was excellent and although, we arrived earlier than our reservation, we were seated right away. We will definitely dine here again and have already recommended it to friends.
