Gwyneth was outstanding! Attentive, knowledgeable, great conversation, authentic, and I never questioned if she took my celiac disease seriously (a big deal for me since restaurants can be hit or miss with gluten allergies). We love the gf chicken parm, and we tried the burrata for the first time and loved it. We love the extensive list of Italian red wines by the glass too. When we arrived for our reservation, we asked if Jacob was working (he was our server in the past and we really liked him and the experience he provided), but the host hit us with a quick, short, “no.” before taking us to our table. Would’ve been no problem, except he came up to our table later to say hello! Felt a little odd and off putting by the host to lie to us like that, maybe she was just having a bad night? It wasn’t busy at this point either but oh well. Gwyneth was fabulous, and it was nice to get to chat with Jacob for a short while as well! Hopefully next time we can request and sit in Gwyneth or Jacob’s sections - and you should too, honestly. 10/10 experience both times. They both make me feel safe going out to eat which is so difficult to do given my allergies. Thank you!

Ben did an excellent job! Drinks were awesom, apple cider margarita was really good. Chips/guac and taquitos were so tasty. Short rib grilled cheese was so delicious. Had it with house salad. Barbacoa tacos and truffle fries so good. Thanks for stopping by MJ, so nice to see you!

Great rooftop experience in the Short North/Arena District! Amazing service and a great dinner. The bar experience is great with both sides of patios and views of downtown from either side of the restaurant.

Beautiful dining room, excellent service (super friendly and VERY knowledgeable). Food was DELICIOUS, with the only minor knock (not super surprising for a fine dining place) is that the portions were a LITTLE on the smallish side for the price. (That being said, the pile of fries my plate came with was ENOURMOUS, but could have done with another filet of the snapper.) Definitely recommended, and would absolutely return to try other items, as everything we sampled was fantastic.

    First timers. Great food and outstanding service! Our server, Morgan, was very knowledgeable and shared her thoughts which we greatly appreciated. Every bite was delicious. Whipped ricotta, short ribs, tuna tower, lobster mac & cheese, Sandos (all three varieties) and the wedge salad. We had drinks too and they were yummy. We've visited several of the rooftop bars/restaurants and I'd say Astra ranks at the top for taste and service. The check was very reasonable too. Hope to return again soon :)

    GLUTEN FREE HEAVEN!! Their menu is very gluten free friendly and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. GF Fried pickles are a must , they are so crunchy and so so flavorful! Also, they had incredible freshly made gluten free pies for dessert (I think seasonal). Such an amazing spot!
