My son brought me to Sage & Salt to celebrate a belated birthday dinner. This was one of the very best meals l have eaten since moving to Winston Salem from the Washington, DC area 20 years ago. One of the other very best dinners is when my son and daughter brought me to Sage and Salt last year for my birthday dinner. We started with cocktails and 2 appetizers: Steak Tartare and Mussels. Both were delicious and a good start to an outstanding dinner. My son ordered the Rainbow Trout and l ordered the Filet. Sometimes when we order medium rare steak it comes over cooked. This Filet was perfect and so tasty. His Rainbow Trout was also great. We were treated to a complementary ‘to die for’ piece of decadent chocolate cake to share in celebration of my birthday. I highly recommend Sage & Salt for special occasions or when you want delicious food.

Service at the restaurant was incredible. The French Onion Soup was cold. Portions are generous and super tasty. Beef bourguignon was delicious and hearty, and we also shared the brisket and leeks (incredible)!

Birthday lunch. Attentive server. Ordered appetizer of voodoo deviled eggs. Lovely presentation with piped filling and nicely chilled. Cobb salad and salmon salad. Wonderfully crisp fresh and well chilled. Fresh dressing. Ordered shrimp and grits that we enjoyed for birthday dinner later. Nicely spiced. Unparalleled peanut butter pie with a candle for dessert. New to Greensboro restaurants. 2nd visit within a week. Our new go to for special occasions and entertaining out of town guests.

The Ambience is incredible it’s like a small elegant Italian restaurant you might find on a side street in the North End in Boston or Little Italy in NYC. The server was well versed on the menu and recommended wonderful selections of perfectly prepared Red Snapper and North Atlantic Salmon complemented by a glass Of #13 Pinot Grigio from Italy, our main course was completed with a shared dessert of lemon sorbet. The tab was more than reasonable. It all made for a perfect evening out with the woman I love.

Very cool vibe! Front end manager, Alex is excellent, gave terrific input on wine pairing. Service and food were wonderful. Beet salad with goat cheese, fennel and apple salad and mushroom risotto, all fabulous. Got in and out before Tanger show

The food was delicious. The filet was medium and had a good char and flavor. The star of the dish was the onion crisps, the best I’ve ever had! They were very flavorful and so crispy and not soggy or greasy towards the bottom of the pile. Server very friendly and knowledgeable. Great experience.
