Best Steak Restaurants in Forest Lake

My wife and I dined at Baldarama having previously been here a couple of times. It is always a nice experience. My wife ordered miso sea bass which was excellent. I ordered lobster gnocchi and was pleasantly surprised. We had cocktails and wine and were stuffed. We will come back again.

The service was outstanding. Our waiter took the time to explain the optional side dishes with the luncheon steak filet including the difference between the standard vs. "loaded" hashbrown potatoes. The tableside carving of the steak was also greatly appreciated. All in all, it was a fantastic way for us to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary!

From the moment we walked through the door until the moment we left, the service was absolutely impeccable! We were greeted by the sweetest hostess, who took a moment to genuinely welcome us and visit with us. What a wonderful first impression! We enjoyed a drink at the bar while waiting for our guests, and the bartender was fantastic—friendly, engaging, and so much fun to talk with. Once seated in the dining room, the exceptional service continued. Our server was outstanding! He took the time to explain the menu and specials so thoroughly that we felt completely confident in our selections. And the food? Absolutely incredible! Everything was prepared beautifully and was every bit as wonderful as the service. There are other well-known steakhouses in the area, but Char Blu truly sets itself apart. Exceptional food is important, but exceptional service is what makes a dining experience unforgettable. Char Blu has mastered BOTH! It’s refreshing to visit a restaurant where every single person you encounter makes you feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated. We cannot recommend Char Blu highly enough! Five stars all the way around! We will absolutely be back!
