My DNA is 99.7% Spain spanish as confirmed by 23andMe.. Authentic Spanish food has been my go to comfort food my entire life. We have lived year-round in SW Florida for 10+ years. As said I am Spanish, my wife is French, we have traveled the world, and we know good food. Not boasting, simply establishing our credentials. We had given up in finding good to excellent food in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Bonita, Punta Gorda, North Fort Myers, and Naples. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and made a decision to RISK another restaurant. WHAT A BLESSING! The food at TAVERNA OLE (accent over the "E") is OUTSTANDING, AUTHENTIC, 100% SPANISH. We risked a selection of Tapas. More than we could possible eat in one seating. It was intentional to see if we would ever return. Will we?
Our answer; We found a home! Each dish transported us to SPAIN. The ingredients were fresh and of excellent quality. The oil was the freshest in aroma and taste, The recipe's were authentic. I know!
Okay, now for eveything else. A spotless place. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Staff: ALL made us feel welcome. The Manager Diana (Cuban born & 14-years spent in Madrid), and our Server Adriana are friendly warm, & knwledgeable. The best there is. When was the last time you ate out and felt appreciated?
Our table had been decorated to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The young, beautiful, soft spoken hostess that greeted us was the start of a very special, magical, and heart-warming evening. We could tell she is a refined young lady. In addition to her demeanor, when we were leaving I went to give her a gratuity for her graciousness in decorateing our table. It was not easy to get her to accept it. She kept telling us it was not necessary. In the end I insisted and she accepted. That's a lady! If you have ever visited Japan you will understand what I mean. If you have read read this far, what is wrong with you! 'LOL'. We Highly recommend this very special place. Ole!
