- RRichardNew York City •7 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoThis was our third visit to this location, usually pre- and post-theater. It's a great value if you compare it to the restaurants we usually frequent and if you're just looking to fill your belly at a very pleasant venue, this could do the trick. We shared a Pastrami Reuben with an included side salad and an order of sweet potato fries. The sandwiches are usually big enough to share and we noticed several other couples doing the same. That could reflect the generous portions or the prices (around $25), maybe both. Service was very good. The place is lively and with good menu that reflects the name of the place. Kind of a marriage of diner and deli. With a cola and a beer, our bill came to about $50. We'd definitely recommend the Carnegie Diner and Cafe on Eighth Avenue. We may try another one of their locations next time.More infoCarnegie Diner & Café – 828 8th Ave, New York, NY$$$$• American• Theatre District•4.5
