had such a wonderful experience at Casamoto in Yorkville last night! ❤️ We were initially seated in an area that we weren’t too comfortable with, but Adriana was absolutely amazing and made sure we were moved to a much more comfortable spot. Our new seating even had a heater, which was perfect for the evening! Before heading to our table, my guest and I decided to have a drink at the bar. I was a little shy about walking over by myself, and Adriana was kind enough to walk us to the bar, help us find a spot, and make sure we were comfortable while enjoying our drinks. She then personally walked us to our table and checked to make sure everything was good. Her smile and warm, friendly personality really stood out and made our visit feel extra special. It’s those little gestures and genuine hospitality that make such a difference. And, as always, the food was spectacular! Casamoto is already one of my favourite restaurants, and they continue to deliver every time. The atmosphere was definitely lively and loud, but in the best way — it felt perfect for a Friday night in Yorkville. This was certainly not my first visit, and it definitely won’t be my last. I’ll be back again! ✨

We went for Sunday lunch at Raku. We found lobster tempura looks attempting and it happens to be in daily specials. It includes add-on soup made from lobster leftover. Though it is fried, it is amazingly tender, juicy and tasty. It is made of fresh lobster. Also Surprisingly it did not look greasy, though soup did feel a bit heavy. At the recommendation of our server, we ordered nigiri with tuna belly and hand roll. We were told it was wild caught tuna just arrived yesterday. Tuna belly tasted soft and sweet, melting right away in the mouth. It made tuna meat in hand roll not very favourable. We chose BC uni for sashimi which is good but not as sweet as I expected. The finisher is Yuzu cheesecake, a bit sour and sweet and perfect for the conclusion of meal. The girls were nice and attentive. But I felt the staffing was kind of short, with 3 of them attending the main dining area. They kept filling the water and removed the finished dishes quickly. I hope they could clean the table more often between the dishes. Overall the experience is good and we are interested in experiencing more of their offering.

Very nice overall. Fresh, top quality fish, excellent tempura veggies, gracious staff.
