    We came in for my partners birthday and absolutely LOVED it! Friendly staff, delicious food and great value for money with the banquet! The kung pow chicken and bao buns were faves, so good. We were even gifted a birthday dessert ❤️ the feel and decor is fun and ambient, the only downside we had was we were seated right under a really bright light, so that kind of wrecked the cosy date feeling... a small issue so wouldn't prevent us from returning, we will definitely be back!

    Everyone in my party was ridiculously impress with the food, service and drinks. My family from the Gold Coast joined me for my birthday lunch, it was first time eating at Vela and they all said it was the BEST THAI THEY HAVE EVER HAD, which is huge compliment as they visit Thailand every year and eat out at Thai restaurants regularly when they’re home. My dad and brother-in-law, who are hard to impress , both had the Wagyu Beef and said it was the best wagyu beef they’ve had in years. The cocktails were superb, which is one of the reasons why I picked Vela for my 40th Birthday, and the staff took great care with presenting my birthday cake. Thank you so much to all the staff and chefs for the 10/10 service.
