A truly wonderful afternoon tea experience at The Shelbourne with Crystal. The selection of unlimited sandwiches was fantastic, and the desserts were absolutely amazing, with something to satisfy every sweet tooth. I opted for an Americano rather than tea, and it was a lovely alternative. The staff were exceptionally attentive and welcoming, making the entire experience feel special. They went out of their way to help us celebrate a special birthday, which made the afternoon all the more memorable. A beautiful setting, delicious food, and outstanding service. A perfect way to celebrate a special occasion. Highly recommended!

Overall it was a wonderful evening, lovely setting and ambience, and food was good. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because I have been a number of times before and didn’t check the menu this time. So on a wet evening I was looking forward to a Guinness Beef Stew followed by Tarte Tatin - and disappointingly neither were on the menu. I had the steak sandwich and chocolate fondant, both of which were very nice, but I would love to see the other options return. I also thought a glass of wine was a little pricey for the amount you get. But don’t let this put you off - it really is a lovely restaurant in the centre of town.

Lovely place for afternoon tea, selection of sandwiches I thought was a bit poor, my husband does not eat sauces inc mayonnaise, the chicken wrap came with garlic mayonnaise, he asked for it to be left off, but was told wraps already made so they couldn’t change it, he had an extra ham and cheese sandwich instead, desserts were very good, great selection of teas, also a selection of coffee, staff very attentive and helpful.
