Zuma Japanese Restaurant - Miami
Comida sensacional. Bien servida el ambiente increible
As always the food did not disappoint. The service was very good. Our server gave us many suggestions during our experience and we actually went with some of those suggestions and were happy that we did! The acoustics were a bit off in the restaurant but the music was great. I would recommend adding some absorbable material to help minimize the distorted sounds. Can’t wait to come back for brunch!
Good. But really noisy and value for money, I hace seen better
We dined with friends we had not seen all summer and needed a chance to talk, ie, to hear each other, so we requested a table on the terrace by the river, where we have dined before. The terrace was closed. The noise level inside was deafening between the echoing voices and the music. We were led to table in a back corner--still too noisy, then the maitre d' offered the wine room and we settled there and asked that the music be turned off. It was. We had a very good dinner, but the room had filled up so at last we were allowed to have dessert on the terrace.
And as for service; our friends had to get up from the table to serve the bottle of wine they had ordered.
Very expensive, but the food is memorable.
This was the first time in my entire life that I have ever been ignored after being seated at my table. After about 20 minutes we asked a passing worker if we had a server. Even after we were sent a server it seemed like we had a variety of people trying to get our food order. It was extremely inconsistent and some of the items we ordered never arrived. We did not complain but it was clear that they dropped the ball. The did provide a free edemame and an appetizer. I probably won’t go back.
It’s at least the 4th time I go to Zuma brunch and I always love it! Just missing the oysters they used to have and the truffle on the mushroom rice... apart from that 5 stars!
The quality of the food is outstanding and the bellinis were just perfect!
Everything perfect but prices.
Amazing experience. The omakase menu is the way to go.
This restaurant does not live up to its reputation in my opinion. Ambiance and location is amazing, and the bartenders are great and knowledgeable. Unfortunately that did not carry over to the table. The waiter was pleasant but did nothing to mark our night as special or the plates either. I didn't feel like the staff knew much about the plates. Also, the pricing is probably adequate for the quality of food but with a less than ideal waitstaff and overall dining experience there is no value.
Zuma is definitely worth going to - if only to see and enjoy. The food is very good, but not necessarily out of this world, but the price is...Anyhow, good for once at least. Luckily, there are lots of other great restaurants in Miami that are at least as good, but more reasonable. Some are just around the corner from Zuma.
This was the third time my husband and I have eaten at Zuma and, as always, it was fabulous. The food is fantastic and the service is very good. I felt that on this visit the music wasn’t as loud and blaring, which is definitely a plus for me.
Great service, Great food, we definitely will go back!
The food was amazing as always at Zuma but we were unfortunately made to wait 30 min longer for our table...-and when we finally got to our table we were placed next to a very loud group of people (super loud). The service at the table was excellent though. To make up for our long wait, we were given 2 glasses of “champagne” (Prosecco or similar - definitely not champagne). The overall experience was good though.
The place is good, but its overpriced and worst of all the cost of parking is 10% after you have paid for a dinner, I think is an abuse
Love the place but doubt it I will comeback, there are other sushi places. This expirience was just over rated
My husband birthday
Our waiter: Yosee, was fantastic!the food he recommended, the speed of service, the smile, the attention were all part of the experience! congratulations!
Always a very nice experience
Celebrated a birthday the experience was amazing. Wonderful atmosphere very relaxing environment. Great service great food amazing company. Look forward to many more trips to Zuma.
Went for a group dinner with friends. Food was divine! King crab, mushroom salad, seafood hot pot, fatty tuna tiradito! Service was top notch, will be back again soon!
food is no longer what it was, cod was uncooked, a "cracker "that comes with the tuna/salmon tartar was
Food was excellent. Service was a bit slow and some things we had to request several times to receive it.
We spent a lovely night , the waiter was very friendly and competent.
We were very late and they were able to accommodate us, our server was wonderful with the suggestions and we had a wonderful meal.
Amazing experience. The food was phenomenal. Service was also excellent. The somulaie was amazing as well.
I have eaten in many top Japanese Restaurant's. Zuma is excellent apart from one thing. The Sushi Rolls are cut on the small side. They should be slightly larger.
Súper expensive brunch and super small main courses and little opciones included. Don’t do brunch there
There was a leak that kept falling on my head. I didn’t feel the waiter was attentive to the issue.
Food was great. Service was horrible. Last minute I had an extra person added to my rsvp and they made it a huge deal and flat out told me the extra person could not be seated. I argued with them and finally they added another chair to our table.
They are too strict about the number of ppl and don’t realize that at the end of the day — not every rsvp is a business dinner.
I’m not sure where to begin. My friend and I both have allergies. Mine is white fish and hers is pineapple. I travel all over the world for my job and I’m very clued up with Zuma. The one is london is great if you ever have chance to visit. I came to miami to visit my friend and eat some good food. We are both chefs so when we get a Friday night off we use it wisely. I thought Zuma was a great choice. So it’s starts off with us making it clear about our allergies. Then the waitress comes back to confirm that we want to do the omakase and will have to check with the chef because of the allergies. She’s then returns to ask me. The chef said are you allergic to the colour or the fish? Ermm excuse me?! I don’t even know what that means! I’m allergic to ALL WHITE FISH. And I start listing off all the fish. At this point my friend is already angry. And I’m laughing because I can’t quit understand what I was asked. So dinner happens. To be honest the food was meh! The drinks were ok. The meal goes on. And the sushi course comes and there is white fish sitting next to the other fish I can eat. I brush it off as a mistake and eat around the white fish. We get through the meal and the dessert fruit plate comes out with pineapple all over it. At this point we are both angry. But I still can’t understand what’s happening. We are both in the industry and take allergies very seriously when people come to our restaurants. This is not something people should take lightly. The manager had no clue how to handle the situation. I think Zuma needs to re train all there servers and managers oh and the kitchen on allergies and how important and life threatening they can be. Before something serious happens. We won’t be back obviously not just because of the allergy situation but because the food and drinks were meh and not worth the money.
Very good overall
Had a $3000 bill. Issue with one thing and would not assist
Fantastic all around
Wonderful evening out, starting at the bar - Bruce made delicious cocktails and was fantastic! The meal was incredible, our server Karina was friendly and knowledgeable, we will definitely be back to do the tasting menu.
Wait staff are below standard. One member besides the waiter said good evening. Check in was unwelcoming. Had to ask for more water when glass was empty twice even though staff kept walking by looking at me and the table. Was not like this 3 years ago.
For such an upscale and expensive restaurant, you would expect the service to be so much better. The hostess and actual server were nice, but some of the other people working there need to be trained a bit better. The plates are small and one of the bussers tried twice to take plates away from our table when we weren't finished. It seems like they are in such a hurry to get you out of there.
We ordered 3 beef tenderloins (1 medium and 2 medium rare) and when a food runner came to drop off one of them, we asked how it was cooked and he had no idea! So strange... literally had to wait while he went back in to check. We also asked for some extra spicy flakes and they completely forgot. Again this wouldn't matter at a normal restaurant, but Zuma is VERY pricey so you expect top notch service.
Overall for the price, I wouldn't recommend. There are so many better restaurants to choose from in Miami.
Too loud, server couldn’t hear when I asked for another roll and brought dessert menu
Amazing food. Love to find a restaurant that their quality in always de same over the years. Service also great.
