Great food. Exceptional desserts. Service was poor. We were downstairs and tucked on a small table to the left of the stairs, which was quite dark with not much atmosphere. Would recommend trying to sit upstairs or in the main part of the downstairs.
Good as always !
Order / kitchen timings need to extended in line
with Soho atmosphere even if a special late menu should be considered
The vegetarian set menu was so yummy! Also try the sake.
Excellent as always
Amazing food, service and cocktails
Customer service could be better.
Outstanding dinner we have been over looked after I cannot wait to come back
I’ve been to Yauatcha 3 times now and on this my 4th visit will probably not go again. It had been a few years since my last visit and the crowd has descended into young spoilt instagrammers who thinks it’s ok to dress as if they’re at a backyard bbq rather than a nice restaurant. The atmosphere can only be described as a circus with children running around unchecked and wait staff that don’t know how to prioritise orders. We had ordered our food and had the menus whisked away (including the wine menu) before we had ordered any drinks. The dessert wine we ordered arrived once the dessert had been finished. But the biggest problem was that the air conditioning was ‘down’. The entire night was an uncomfortable sweat fest and made enjoying the food very difficult. The head waiter was a very nice gentleman who gave us a discount but only once we had asked to get the service removed.
Very good food and professional staff. unfortunately no air conditioning in the lower level.
Delicious food and really good value, especially for a Michelin starred place. The lychee martini was very tasty. It is quite loud but it gave a nice atmosphere for a special occasion. Would highly recommend it.
The food was amazing and the service even better, constantly on hand but never too much fuss. I couldn’t say anything bad about it
This was one of my favorite places for dim sum - food is great, but I must say I was disappointed with the service level - we were rushed to leave the table without any courtesies, while both tables next to us were free. Shame, as food was indeed great. But I generally value a place on the overall picture, so will think twice now about coming back.
Excellent food. Service a little slow to get going waited 40mins for drinks to arrive which put us under pressure to get through the meal for the show we had booked. Service improved after that. Main complaint - just to hot!! Air conditioning useless. Not surprised staff have to work slowly!!!
Food so good though, we will return - in winter!!
I’m a big fan of the food at Hakkasan which is part of the same group as Yautcha, but I find the service and attitude at Hakkasan really not great. For this reason I now always choose Yautcha and have to say the food is just as good if not better. The service was also very good, no snotty up themselves attitude with a limited 1.5 or 2 sitting where they ask you to have your dessert at the bar as they want the table back! The only criticism was the temperature in the restaurant which was on the warm side for a hot day outdoors. However will definitely go back! The food is superb!
Great food, we love the food..but downstairs ambiance is too noisy , we like the entry level or the bar better..
I would add pictures cause we pretty much ordered by hunch and hoped it will be good
Excellent food, but so so noisy, music too loud, people screaming in order to be able to talk to each other. Not a chill experience at all, we will not go back.
Nice ambiance. Food was tasty. Loved the duck and the venison puff. The only real complaint is that we were downstairs and it was too warm.
Great creative food, impeccable and -for once in London- fast service! Only minuses: a bit too noisy downstairs and air conditioning a bit crazy as usual. Seriously, there was no need for a chilly wind on our heads. But for that, still worth a visit
Having visited the restaurant a couple of times before, we have decided to go there for their dessert menu, which is among the best options of dessert one could find in London, in our opinion.
Great food, good vibe, service was slower than normal but that is probably a one off as it’s normally impeccable!
Nice Asian cuisine restaurant with friendly service, delicious food and relaxing ambiance
Definitely to recommend to friends as well to business partners. Service was remarkable. My friend ia allergic to lots of ingredients and a waiter gave his best to explain her what dish contains allergic stuff and what not. And he did it with joy and not annoyed.
Since it was our Anniversary we decided to make reservations at one of our favourite restaurants. It was Gay Pride, which meant that I had to walk from Oxford Street to Broadwick Street (and back) on crutches from the taxi. This was not the restaurant’s fault. Once we were seated, we had to wait 30 minutes to order cocktails. After we ordered cocktails, we were able to order food as usual. With the food order, the service returned to the usual excellent service. We did find that if we wanted another libation, we had to flag down our waiter. This is not the normal service one expects at Yauatcha.
Been many times before and loved it. The food was fabulous, but the service dreadful. Waited ages between courses. We were bored we waited so long. The place was so hot inside . We were told it was cooler downstairs but it was like an oven down there. The gin and tonic had no lemon and the beer was warm .
Good service but the food is massively overpriced. Also, the basement is very hot and loud. It felt like eating dinner in a dungeon.
Amazing restaurant with cool, trendy vibe. Probably some of the best dim sum in central London.
Overall - excellent. Service was a little slower than usual but restaurant was very busy. Highly recommend.
The food was great as always, especially the lobster vermicelli and crispy aromatic duck. The service could have been a bit better, but all in all we had a great experience.
Came here for my bros birthday. Started out with a waitress (or maybe she was just the one who took our drink order) that was not helpful at all and pretty rude. Then our main waitress was amazing!! Very truthful in her recommendations and helpful. Got the hargow, xia long bao, scallop shumai, Duck, bok choy, chicken feet, pork belly spare ribs, and the red bean and pork roll. Everything was phenomenal expect for the duck. Maybe it is because I was expecting the texture to be more like a Peking duck (super juicy and tender). However this was not the case. It was actually quite dry and the exterior was extremely crunchy. I was very dissatisfied and let down by this. Not sure if we got a dry batch but it truly should have never been served.
Great food and service too.
A bit too noisy as it was quite full.
Overall a great ambiance
Music too loud
Good, high quality Asian food but for over all value, could have been a more attentive service. We ordered waaaay too much and just wished the staff would have indicated that to us or advised us better. Nonetheless, great breakfast the next day
Warm Friday night, we were yelling at each other over the music (seated on upper floor) and one of the party had to leave the restaurant to stand outside because of the heat. What a disappointment, we would have enjoyed the meal far more if we weren't so uncomfortable. The temporary AC issue that engineers were working on (per the waiter) clearly not true if I look at past reviews - shame, Yauatcha, you're not a cheap hole in the wall restaurant!
The food was good, andI would go back for the cocktails... but there are other more comfortable restaurants in London for the price that I won't be back in a hurry...
The food was delicious, prices not cheap but total value for money.
No air conditioning which ruined the experience, as it was a very hot evening...
Excellent as always
Friends having a cosy dinner and chat.
