We come every year to London, visit your restaurant and enjoy it very much.
This time, the temperature was too hot, and the waiter said there is nothing he can do about it.
We stayed, but we didn’t enjoy the meal .
Amazing food, great atmosphere
Food was great and drinks were very nice as well. Our waiter was very kind and attentive. Only thing I did not like too much was how hot the place was and as well how the reception ladies started cleaning with sprays when a lot of clients were still in the restaurant as it was not very nice to see.
Dinner on a warm summer’s Friday night in a restaurant that’s expected to have air conditioning - but alas ! - it was either turned off or not working properly.
Sweatiest restaurant meal I’ve ever had
My girlfriend and I come here a fair amount and every time, it is amazing.
The food and service are great.
We always have a dish called Prawn Chung Fung which is just amazing.
I like yautcha and have been 3 or 4 times over the years. i would recommend and i would come back.. the cocktails could be stronger for the price they charge though :)
Value for money .... always a consistency in the food served ..... excellently professional and yet very friendly.
To me the service was lower and slower than the previous times I came.
I was unhappy to have to argue with the waiter on the fact I wanted to choose my own desert from the menu when he was saying I was meant to get one chosen by the chef which was very surprising to me, especially on closing an experience with a negative touch.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere is great. I wish the service was faster, but since I was not in a hurry it worked. Top marks to the chef for the chicken, which was the best I had in ages.
Service was horrible
Thank you it was an amazing evening and felt looked after !
Our full order did not show up. Very noisy atmosphere and not enough vegetarian options.
The experience from start to finish was great. Service was exactly at the right level - attentive and informative but not over the top. We had the taster menu - the food was superb and I will definitely be coming back again!
The service was disappointing. No attention. Clueless waiter. Complained to management and they didn’t seem concerned. The food was so good, though.
Very nice and quite restaurant - we were unlucky with a patience lacking waitress, but in all, the food was good, especially the more Asian type / firsts. The ribs were very regular and not same quality as rest of food. Somewhat expensive - Still water 5 pounds!
On my second visit again the food was very mediocre lacking flavour. Each dish had red peppers.
However waiters were polite and efficient.
What a total disaster. That’s all one can say....total disaster. It’s hard to put into words how bad the food and overall experience was. I wrote an entire thesis and just erased the whole thing so here is my commentary in a nutshell:
I have been using Opentable since it’s inception in the year 2000. I have 19 years of Opentable booking experiences and have been a VIP diner for all 19 years as I eat out quite a bit. My experience at this restaurant was the single
WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY 19 YEAR OPENTABLE CAREER. MY ADVICE IS TO PASS ON THIS RESTAURANT AND FIND ANOTHER PLACE.
Terrible food. Non existent service. Then buying an apology drink and trying to charge us for it....totally unforgivable. Don’t bother.
Impossible to have a conversation due to absurd music noise.
Love the food at Yauatcha, and thought it would be a great place for a group. 7 of us had dinner downstairs in what can only be described as a REALLY, LOUD ROOM... The food was fantastic, though, and a good meal was had by all. Will definitely go back, but will perhaps seek out a slightly quieter restaurant for the next large gathering.
I really loved food and the service was very good ..
Birthday for my nephew! He enjoyed himself and food was awesome too.
Incredibly poor service from the table not being ready on time to disinterested waitress. Staff paid no attention when we wanted more water / to pay the bill etc and had to wait 3 or 4 minutes for someone to come to the desk to go and get coats at the end of the evening. Really expected better
Always amazing. If you love Dim Sum I 1000% recommend to anyone!!
Delicious food and best duck I've ever had. Can't wait to return
We had a wonderful experience! The food was excellent, the atmosphere was fun and our waiter was really really nice and patient. I will recommend for sure! Already did 😉
My girlfriend said this will be the most incredible meal you will ever have boiiii was she right! Those chicken and prawn dim sum were like eating unicorn popcorn drizzled in a caramel sauce topped off with an explosion of wildfire flavour of intense prawnlinessness... man was this meal crazy good... we paid it from our euros we saved coming back off holiday! Thanks another story of it own! But we recommend this place big time!! Peace out R&A
Made a reservation for one at the bar and was offered the couches. I took it expecting it to be... Good enough but it certainly was not. You get a small coffee table at the place others sit to wait for their table. It was incredibly uncomfortable both in general and for your back due to the height of the coffee table. I asked for a spot at the bar immediately and I guess my reservation disappeared into the void during the 5 seconds I was at the couches. This meant that I had the pleasure of a meal in an uncomfortable place that the ac had trouble reaching with other people's feet right next to my table trying to eat. I do not even remember how anything tastes so it certainly was not memorable.
I wish to leave a very special thank you note for your waitress Rachel. She made our evening. She was so very attentive and helpful and super efficient- people like her make places and an evening. So thank you Rachel.
The food was delicious but service was really disappointing. My friend wasn’t shown to our table. She was the first to arrive and the host took her downstairs and then pointed rather than taking her to a table.
We weren’t offered a drink, despite one being included in our booking. We had to call our hostess back and ask her about drinks.
Our main dish was served before we finished starters, despite us asking for more dipping sauces (3 times) for the dim sum. Staff were generally unfriendly and avoided eye contact, apart from two managers who were more professional. I will come back, as the food was great but hopefully the service will be better next time.
Enjoyable, accommodating and tasty. Fantastic evening- thank you
Been going to Yauatcha for years and recently feel the quality and level of service has dropped. The waiting staff appeared to forget we were there for quite a while and we had to get their attention most of the time. An item from our order didn't arrived and we'd finished all our other dishes. We ended up taking it off the bill but it would have been good if they warned us this dish would be longer than the others. No sure if the kitchen had simply forgotten it.
Everything was excellent!
This was not the Yauatcha I recognise. More train station than high-end eating.
Too many covers, not enough time for turn-around & a hurried experience when seated.
Food acceptable but lacking the trademark sophistication. Disappointing.
This is a hip, buzzy, loud, very popular restaurant. The food was fantastic. The wine choices were excellent and reasonably priced. It's on Broadwick St near Poland St and there are lots of cool restaurants in the vicinity. I was glad that we had made a reservation as the restaurant was turning away lots of people. We enjoyed our dinner.
Had £60 Signature menu. It was rushed to the point we had 3 dishes on our tiny 'bar' space at once. We could barely move our arms to eat without knocking our drinks over. It was very obvious to our server that the food was coming to fast but clearly nothing was said to the kitchen. Its was a every expensive meal for me (I'm not a wealthy tourist but an NHS nurse). The meal was treat for my girlfriends 30th birthday. We are foodies and know what is good and what is not. Quite frankly the food was average. High end price and an experience no better then waggamumas. Disappointed to say the least.
We always joke about that we go from Stockholm to London only to visit Yauatcha. It is the best Asian restaurant in the world. Lovely settings, friendly service and superb food. And reasonable prices. We strongly recommend it!
Great service. Fantastic food I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
Lush cocktail, the food was great but service was a bit on the slow side.
