Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. To complement the cuisine, the drinks menu comprises nearly 40 types of tea, as well as cocktails inspired by Chinese ingredients and a broad wine and Champagne list.
Yauatcha’s first standalone patisserie, Yauatcha Patisserie, is located just below the restaurant, where Chinese heritage and modern European cooking techniques have inspired the pastry team to create a range of unique macarons, petits gateaux and chocolates.

Absolutely delicious food. This is the one place in London where dim sum tastes just like it does in Hong Kong. Absolutely delicious, authentic, incredibly nommy food
I think that the food in this restaurant is excellent and is some of the best Chinese food you will get anywhere. Highly recommended
Our table was next to the toilets and the door leading to the outdoors smoking area. I felt embarrassed towards my guests and constantly had to go close the door leading to the outdoors because other guests would not close the door properly after them when returning from smoking. If I didn’t do that, my guests had to wear their jackets to eat indoors. Ridiculous! For a restaurant that size, I would expect a staff member to be at all times near those doors especially during uk winter nights. Our waiter Alessandro was fantastic and he was the only positive that night as far as we were concerned. Note to Yauatcha: do not seat guests in such crappy areas if you are so proud of your restaurant!
Great food. Not cheap but not horrendous. Attentive but not intrusive service. Great location too
Wonderful afternoon for my Birthday. We chose the Festive Menu and included extra dim sum! The food was outstanding and the host went above and beyond when an injury occurred while trying to crack the lobster (talk about first word problems!) they even surprised us with a birthday dessert :) we were having such a good time we nearly missed the train home.
I went to Yatchua City to celebrate the birthday of my daughter; they let us wait in a very crowded bar (I was with a 11, 13 and 15 y.o. girls, the bar was not the smartest idea ever), then they gave to us a sad table in front of the toilet and terrace door, both always open: while an iced wind was entertaining us, we had to ask several times for forks and water. The food was good as usual @Yatchua, but I can't say I felted comfortable: a great restaurant should understand its customer needs, and take care of everyone in the same way. If families are not welcome, just let them know...
Wasn’t very impressed by the fact I had a table booked at 8pm yet had to wait 15 minutes
Presented with birthday platter when ordering desert.
Great food and they even personalised a dessert for our anniversary. Service was amazing - when we realised we ordered too much the waiter kindly cancelled the rest of the food we had ordered, which was great. Really high standard of food and at a reasonake price.
Fantastic service by the waiters / waitresses!
Good value - we had ordered the stir-fry beef in black bean sauce and a shrimp stir-fry. INCREDIBLE!
Would definitely recommend and go again.
Delicious food - had a mixture of Dim Sum/small platters which was perfect for a lunch. Great service and very busy for a Monday lunch, mainly with City workers
The food is always amazing, my boyfriend described it as the best Chinese restaurant he has ever been to. Staff is very attentive and polite and the location is superb. It’s expensive though. We will go back for sure!
Food was average and didn’t wow me, good vibe, service was good, price acceptable, still can’t justify paying £4.5 for each small bottle of water
Staff helpful and very pleasant, food outstanding, expensive but well done worth it.
A delicious meal and attentive service made for a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Fantastic food and great service - the Yum Cha brunch menu is excellent value for Money!
Excellent service and delicious food, cant wait to try the houston branch
I'd been to Yauatcha once before and wanted to take some friends, and my wife, who is vegetarian - and normally no fan of Oriental cuisine - but it was excellent (both food and wine) for us and for her, and she said immediately that she would be happy to return regularly - which is great news for me! I look forward to the next time.
We wanted to try out some of their dishes as we heard a lot of good things about the restaurant. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations as the service was pushy and did not give us attention. Furthermore, we went with the Supreme tasting menu, the dim sum was great but the mains and the dessert were not up to the standards, as scallops were overcooked and chewy and parts of the desserts were inedible. We wanted to address the issues but the staff started cleaning up the restaurant and gave us the bill.
Fantastic food and incredibly attentive service in a vibrant setting! Excellent!
Brilliant experience at Yauatcha with amazing food and service. Particularly Rita who was professional, kind and friendly.
Very limited gluten free menu- no help to find options
Working lunch and was very pleasant and would definitely return.
Nothing to rave about. Food ok, not like it used to be though. Hosts very pushy for our promotional code which was on booking, pressurising friends on arrival who didn’t know and then interrupting the meal twice to check for, when we usually just give at the end when asking for bill. Sunday lunch was very quiet but service slow, maybe understaffed or just not a lot on and so wasn’t on top like usually are. Our waiter was very helpful and good though.
Perfect !!!!! Everything was perfect!
Good food friendly staff very warm welcome definitely worth it
Great weekend dim sum location. Food was excellent. Location is perfect - not too noisy. Highly recommended.
Good range for vegetarians. Food is good, service is attentive even in their busiest times. Good cocktail list. Even when full you can still talk with your dining companion(s) - well done for not falling for the myth that says patrons are impressed if a place is too noisy to talk.
Overall an outstanding experience! Our first visit and I shall be running back once funds allow! Made to feel very welcome from the first and loved the outlook. We had a few dim sum for lunch then some spinach tofu and it was all great, delicate & full of flavour. The tofu was probably the best I have ever had. Desserts too were wonderful and we enjoyed it so much we lingered, always a good sign.
For non-City folk it is super pricey but so immensely enjoyable it is worth saving up for an annual visit! The manager was fantastic and the majority of staff too. Really, really impressed...
Yauatcha City is one of my favourite restaurants and it is always a pleasure to dine there. The food was great as usual but the service this time was a bit on an average side, and they forgot about our coffee that we have ordered with a dessert.
Outstanding quality of food and faultless service from the entire team
Dim sum excellent, service speedy but occasionally difficult to catch an eye. Excellent selection of teas.
It was my boyfriend birthday and it was missed. We are regular customers and would appreciate a bit more attentive service. Service was either slow or rushed like we had during main course.
A number of items on the menu were unavailable, two of which we got charged for on the bill.
Service was very slow and waiters unattentive.
Nice setting. Went for the Oct restaurant festival menu. Champagne was nice. Service good. Food below average to be very honest. Mains were very sweet (thai style chicken) or watery (prawns). Starters okay but similar level to ping pong re dim sum except for the Venison Puff which was very good.
Shame. Probably will not return.
Food was great. Almost worth the 50minute wait for mains.
The service wasn’t great. We did not have a dedicated waiting member of staff. The person who took our order was cold and couldn’t make eye contact. A member of staff gave us our drinks and only gave us one. We had to call him back to give us the other one. I asked for something special as it was my partner’s birthday and they said they would do something with the dessert but didn’t. When paying the bill, the manager told us that they had a new ordering system with no notice. It was incredibly busy and noisy with the staff bumping into each other.
We ordered the signature menu and the best things were the scallop dim sum and sesame prawn toast.
I had heard great things but was disappointed. Won’t be going back.
Great food. Informal. We went for a team dinner. But it can easily be a place for dates, family too. Will visit again, if nothing just for the food.
Service was incredibly slow - we waited over an hour to get drinks.
