Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. To complement the cuisine, the drinks menu comprises nearly 40 types of tea, as well as cocktails inspired by Chinese ingredients and a broad wine and Champagne list.
Yauatcha’s first standalone patisserie, Yauatcha Patisserie, is located just below the restaurant, where Chinese heritage and modern European cooking techniques have inspired the pastry team to create a range of unique macarons, petits gateaux and chocolates.

Everything about Yauatcha was excellent from the moment we arrived. The food just seems to get better and I didn't think that was possible. A wonderful lively evening and if you get the opportunity rush to what I think is the best Chinese food in London.
I've been to Yauatcha Soho several times and always had a pleasant experience. We booked the City restaurant for some client entertaining, one of our guests arrived half hour early and was seated at the table but wasn't offered a drink for at least 20 minutes!
The food as always was lovely but we ordered far too much of it, without the waiter suggesting it would be too much (as other places often do). Service was quite poor with us being neglected several times and sat there waiting to order drinks and then food, it also took an awfully long time before we managed to get our bill (around 25 minutes) and even trying to catch anyones attention was impossible, even though we were sat right by the till!
Overall not the best experience and would stick to Soho rather than go back to the City one.
Service was poor. Asked for birthday dessert and happy anniversary was written. Poor attention to customer needs.
Good food. Ok service. They never answer their phone and gave up our table due to us being a few minutes late even though we tried to call and let them know. Got a table so worked out but receptionist upstairs was not very welcoming
Maybe because we had to book a late table this wasn’t the best experience or service. The dim sum and mains were good the deserts less so very sweet and not particularly well flavoured. One of the main courses arrived 5 minutes after the first, rice and vegetable dish.
Excellent, smart and intimate venue for dinner. Would highly recommend this for a fun night with friends or a first date location - plenty to keep either setting entertained
Great food Great service Great location what more could you ask for? Well recommended!
It's overpriced for what it is...the egg fried rice cost £9!!!
Outstanding food for the price! Service was a little slower than expected but you can overlook that when there is a good ambience
The food was amazing! Ordered the supreme menu and every single thing was delicious. Highly recommended.
Overall the food was excellent and the service good although we again had to ask them to slow down as they were very keen to clear the table even though two of our group were still eating, and they started to bring food out very quickly and after we asked they slowed it down thankfully. Unfortunately we had a large table next to us and the noise was huge !
Prefer Yauatcha in SoHo, table very old.
Fake marble on the toilette, ordered for a bottle of Chablis 2017 and we have been served a 2018. The mains we requested together have been served 20 minutes difference.
Great location great food
Excellent food and drinks. Informative and helpful staff.
It was a great evening. Food was nice and ambiance wasn't too bad.
Excellent food and ambiance, service could have been slightly better but overall a good experience. Highly recommended for special occasions.
Great Service. Great food. Small portions.
The dim sum was delicious. The cocktails were good but pricey. Service exceptional.
Wonderful food but service was terrible. We had to wait over 45mins for our table (as did several others) and were asked to wait in between tables as there was no room at the bar. We were overcharged for drinks and then staff laughed when we asked if they had gluten free sauces. The complimentary drinks were a welcome gesture but overall this was an unacceptable level of service for what is normally one of my favourite restaurants.
My table was booked for 19:30, I arrived at 19:20 with my guests from overseas and was not given a table till 20:30. I queried why the delay at least 4 times and eventually asked to see the manager to resolve
We nearly left but felt we would have an issue finding another restaurant in the city.
Even though we had a booking I would not recommend anyone going on Thursday night unless you are happy to wait over an hour
On a positive the food is fantastic
Been many times and whilst pricey, I will return. Can get very busy for lunch.
One of my favourite restaurants in london. Always excellent food
Expensive, noisy, was full and took them 35mins to bring starters. They gave us a bowl with cold rice for the two menus. It was our anniversary and they congratulated us and gave us special treatment. Staff was nice and place nice and comfortable with the exception of noise and that your clothes smell Yauatcha for 3 days. Nice cocktails.
I usually go to Yauatcha in SoHo it is one of my favourite Dim Sum places in London. Yauatcha City has the same menu and great service. A wonderful spot for weekend brunch.
A waitress yelled at customers and then tried to compensate with some cake.
The food was tasty but the dishes we chose turned out to be fried which wasn’t clear from the menu. Would ask the waiter to clarify next time.
Service lacking and food very average this time
Absolutely delicious and wonderful service as well. We had one member of the group with a prawn allergy and the staff went over and above to make sure they knew what might have prawns in it, and to ensure that they had enough options to eat and be satisfied.
Food was really delicious. The venison puffs, spicy pork dumplings and fried chilli squid were probably the biggest highlights and the macarons for after were also delicious.
Cogimos el menú London restaurant festival y fue un acierto. De cantidad perfecta para la cena y la comida deliciosa. El servicio muy bueno y amable, para repetir.
Wonderful for Sunday lunch ! The dumpling selection is perfect and the beef in black bean sauce is highly recommended. We will be back soon.
Fantastic food, fantastic flavours, fantastic service and fantastic location!!!!
Tasty and delicious, great service and lovely set menu. Very special night out!
Had a lovely meal on Saturday the food was plentiful and delicious! We had the weekend yum cha menu which was really good and great value too considering the quality would love to come again!
Food is nice, service could be better, slow but it was a Friday night, still, you would expect better from a restaurant of this level.
Worst thing was the complete lack of gluten free dishes, my wife, coeliac, but choose between only two dishes. Not acceptable free a restaurant in central London and in this price bracket. Chef should pay more attention to those less fortunate that have allergies
Service was a little slow but we did go at peak time on a Friday.
Very nice as always!
It is a great place to visit - a bit on the pricier end, but definitely would recommend and come back as well. For special occasions. Keep the Prawn toast coming.
Great food and service, the waiter was very observant and really knew his menu. 👍👍👍
It was my first visit and the food and service was absolutely delicious.
A firm favourite, i always know what to expect and I am never disappointed !
