Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. To complement the cuisine, the drinks menu comprises nearly 40 types of tea, as well as cocktails inspired by Chinese ingredients and a broad wine and Champagne list.
Yauatcha’s first standalone patisserie, Yauatcha Patisserie, is located just below the restaurant, where Chinese heritage and modern European cooking techniques have inspired the pastry team to create a range of unique macarons, petits gateaux and chocolates.

A delicious meal and attentive service made for a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
We wanted to try out some of their dishes as we heard a lot of good things about the restaurant. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations as the service was pushy and did not give us attention. Furthermore, we went with the Supreme tasting menu, the dim sum was great but the mains and the dessert were not up to the standards, as scallops were overcooked and chewy and parts of the desserts were inedible. We wanted to address the issues but the staff started cleaning up the restaurant and gave us the bill.
Fantastic food and incredibly attentive service in a vibrant setting! Excellent!
Brilliant experience at Yauatcha with amazing food and service. Particularly Rita who was professional, kind and friendly.
Working lunch and was very pleasant and would definitely return.
Nothing to rave about. Food ok, not like it used to be though. Hosts very pushy for our promotional code which was on booking, pressurising friends on arrival who didn’t know and then interrupting the meal twice to check for, when we usually just give at the end when asking for bill. Sunday lunch was very quiet but service slow, maybe understaffed or just not a lot on and so wasn’t on top like usually are. Our waiter was very helpful and good though.
Perfect !!!!! Everything was perfect!
Good food friendly staff very warm welcome definitely worth it
Great weekend dim sum location. Food was excellent. Location is perfect - not too noisy. Highly recommended.
Good range for vegetarians. Food is good, service is attentive even in their busiest times. Good cocktail list. Even when full you can still talk with your dining companion(s) - well done for not falling for the myth that says patrons are impressed if a place is too noisy to talk.
Overall an outstanding experience! Our first visit and I shall be running back once funds allow! Made to feel very welcome from the first and loved the outlook. We had a few dim sum for lunch then some spinach tofu and it was all great, delicate & full of flavour. The tofu was probably the best I have ever had. Desserts too were wonderful and we enjoyed it so much we lingered, always a good sign.
For non-City folk it is super pricey but so immensely enjoyable it is worth saving up for an annual visit! The manager was fantastic and the majority of staff too. Really, really impressed...
Yauatcha City is one of my favourite restaurants and it is always a pleasure to dine there. The food was great as usual but the service this time was a bit on an average side, and they forgot about our coffee that we have ordered with a dessert.
Outstanding quality of food and faultless service from the entire team
Dim sum excellent, service speedy but occasionally difficult to catch an eye. Excellent selection of teas.
It was my boyfriend birthday and it was missed. We are regular customers and would appreciate a bit more attentive service. Service was either slow or rushed like we had during main course.
A number of items on the menu were unavailable, two of which we got charged for on the bill.
Service was very slow and waiters unattentive.
Nice setting. Went for the Oct restaurant festival menu. Champagne was nice. Service good. Food below average to be very honest. Mains were very sweet (thai style chicken) or watery (prawns). Starters okay but similar level to ping pong re dim sum except for the Venison Puff which was very good.
Shame. Probably will not return.
Food was great. Almost worth the 50minute wait for mains.
The service wasn’t great. We did not have a dedicated waiting member of staff. The person who took our order was cold and couldn’t make eye contact. A member of staff gave us our drinks and only gave us one. We had to call him back to give us the other one. I asked for something special as it was my partner’s birthday and they said they would do something with the dessert but didn’t. When paying the bill, the manager told us that they had a new ordering system with no notice. It was incredibly busy and noisy with the staff bumping into each other.
We ordered the signature menu and the best things were the scallop dim sum and sesame prawn toast.
I had heard great things but was disappointed. Won’t be going back.
Great food. Informal. We went for a team dinner. But it can easily be a place for dates, family too. Will visit again, if nothing just for the food.
Service was incredibly slow - we waited over an hour to get drinks.
Huge place, many tables, too loud and busy.
Waiter seats us down and immediately asks us what we would like to drink.
We need a minute as obviously we have not seen the menu yet.
They take forever to come back and it is
very hard to get their attention to take our order.
Food was late.
Starters arrived after mains.
They told us it was due to change of system but at this point
I don't quite care about the reason.
Verbal apology but nothing more.
The food was very good (we only had a main course with rice). However, the coffees that we ordered never materialised and when we asked for the bill it took at least 10 minutes for it to arrive and no effort was made to compensate us for the fact that we never got our coffees.
Excellent food but poor service. Waiter dropped condiments on our clothes, not very attentive service and very very slow despite the fact we were one of the first in the restaurant.
My favourite Chinese restaurant in London!
Went for weekend menu. Excellent value including a cocktail and half bottle of wine. Food was delicious. Plenty of it. Service excellent and we were not rushed. Not busy at a Saturday lunch time so very relaxing. Highly recommended.
Yummy as always, the dim sum is always excellent and the prawn and bean curd Cheung Fun is just fantastic.
Service could have been better. It was busy but the waiters didnt have the warmth and politeness that a restaurant at this price is expected to have.
Food however was brilliant.
Loved coming back, simply my favourite Chinese restaurant in town. Outstanding food and service. Will keep coming back!
Almost perfect, except for the annoying habit of the waiters pouring water in your glass every time you take a sip. Nice tactic to try to sell more overpriced water, but extremely disruptive when you want to have a business lunch. I was interrupted more than 10 times in a 50min lunch
Food was exceptional great. The staffs were very attentional. Would definitely come back again.
Desperate to come back ASAP for the 2-person tasting menu
Excellent - good and service faultless
I love this restaurant. It’s my favourite in London. Best food and cocktails.
Everything about Yauatcha was excellent from the moment we arrived. The food just seems to get better and I didn't think that was possible. A wonderful lively evening and if you get the opportunity rush to what I think is the best Chinese food in London.
I've been to Yauatcha Soho several times and always had a pleasant experience. We booked the City restaurant for some client entertaining, one of our guests arrived half hour early and was seated at the table but wasn't offered a drink for at least 20 minutes!
The food as always was lovely but we ordered far too much of it, without the waiter suggesting it would be too much (as other places often do). Service was quite poor with us being neglected several times and sat there waiting to order drinks and then food, it also took an awfully long time before we managed to get our bill (around 25 minutes) and even trying to catch anyones attention was impossible, even though we were sat right by the till!
Overall not the best experience and would stick to Soho rather than go back to the City one.
Service was poor. Asked for birthday dessert and happy anniversary was written. Poor attention to customer needs.
Good food. Ok service. They never answer their phone and gave up our table due to us being a few minutes late even though we tried to call and let them know. Got a table so worked out but receptionist upstairs was not very welcoming
Maybe because we had to book a late table this wasn’t the best experience or service. The dim sum and mains were good the deserts less so very sweet and not particularly well flavoured. One of the main courses arrived 5 minutes after the first, rice and vegetable dish.
