Yao Fuzi Cuisine
Another fun evening at Yao Fuzi. The menu has so many options and everything is delicious. Thanks to Chris and his parents. Try this restaurant if you've never been. You won't be disappointed.
Black pepper beef and pink duck was amazing! It was an amazing dinner.
As always the food was wonderful and the service good. We enjoy the atmosphere and eating at Yao Fuzi.
The food is always great! Fresh and fast and oh so yummy! It’s our go to Chinese place in all of DFW
Excellent food and service! Love the ambiance! Flat noodles, hot and sour soup delicious!!
The food at Yao Fuzi is absolutely the best - always excellent. We don't go there for the ambiance - it's ok but nothing special but we love the food.
Excellent as usual!
Ask about the off menu specials
Food is always great! Crispy beef is amazing. Service can be an issue, but not to the point that it detracts from the experience.
This restaurant always has great food and service. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
It was Saturday night and our room was packed and loud. Waitress was stretched thin.
Food was excellent as always.
Service was fine through the meal but suffered a bit at the end of our meal. Took a long time (too long) to get and clear check. Waitress also had large birthday party table so I'll give her a partial pass.
Loud groups made conversation difficult at times.
Food and drink was very good to excellent as always...
We like Yao Fuzi. It is set up for a potentially nice date night experience. However on this particular night the peppered beef was overcooked, we felt rushed by the waiter and staff, and though we did have a party of six (when you included our 4 yo grandson) they added 20% gratuity but didn’t advise us. We only noticed when we reviewed the bill. We don’t have an issue with the addition of gratuity, but they should tell guest. When we handed them the credit card, the bill came with the total in the top line (gratuity included) and gratuity left blank. It was my husbands birthday and they knew it from the reservation but they didn’t acknowledge.
We have had better experiences in the past.
Hostess was rude - never seated a party of 2.
Seated 5 groups that arrived after us. Seated us 20 minute after our reservation.
Normally service and food are great. Food was good, service not so much this visit. We’ll go back though.
I typically love this restaurant. Tonight, however, the service was quite poor. When I walked in with the reservation we had to wait behind people ordering takeout. A hostess just stood there without greeting us. Then it took forever to order drinks, then food, then get the check. I continue to love the food and this level of service was unusual, but disappointing on my birthday.
Party of four. We were all pleased with the food and service.
Yao Fuzi was amazing as always. One of our favorites!
The food was average, but I was willing to pay for it. The bigger issue I had was the service. The server was short and offered no suggestions as if I was bothering her. I asked her twice what she recommended on the menu and did not provide any answers. Then I asked her about the pepper beef and crab fried rice, and she provided little to no comments. She seemed uninterested, and took a long time to take my order. When leaving, the host never said anything either. Maybe the staff was having a bad day.
The food is always consistent and delicious. The owner Chris is friendly and personable. We have been eating at Yao Fuzi since they opened about 12 years ago and still love going there for lunch, dinner and to celebrate special occasions.
We had a delicious meal with good friends! Our table choice was excellent, and our server was very helpful. The quality of food was so good.
Great food and good service, but they couldn't get the air temperature correct. That detracted from the meal as we were comfortable or freezing with the cold air blowing on us. Food was the main event. Soap dumplings, spareribs, pepper beef, eggplant, and braised pork. All were wonderful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience. I gave it 3 stars as the crispy beef was still really good and I liked our table near the front window with the partitions to provide some privacy.
I have eaten here a few times years ago and loved it so my expectations were very high.
I had never been to Yao Fuzi on a Friday night. It was VERY loud when we first got there. Our reservation was at 8:30pm. The noise level did eventually get better when two loud tables left.
I would recommend going on a week night in that the noise level would probably be better, meaning you could hear yourself speak.
Our server didn't seem to care at all about our experience which was quite different from my prior visits here. That was the worst part of the experience. This place is too expensive to have poor service. I used to call this the best place for chinese food in Dallas. Unfortunately, I will start looking for other options.
My daughter took us there for my birthday lunch, my choice as I hadn’t been there in a while. I wasn’t disappointed & my son in law was thrilled to find a really good Chinese restaurant. Everything was really good.
Very fresh, nicely done, good cocktail selection, too.
We are regular customers at Yao Fuzi Cuisine for all of the reasons successful restaurants last for years. Great food, great service and a ambiance are why we continue to dine there.
Went for my dad’s Birthday and had an excellent meal! Was embarrassed my card was declined but called credit card company and they said everything was fine that it was swiped wrong, wish they would have tried again before announcing to me it didn’t go through. Other than that dinner was awesome
Our table location by the wine cellar was perfect! Food was a wonderful as always and we appreciated Chris's help purchasing wine for our son-in-law.
Amazing fresh authentic food one of our favorites
We have been here over 20 times and this is our favorite Chinese spot in the Plano area. We ordered fried rice, like we do every time, and it was so undercooked and hard. Told our waitress and she pretended not to understand us. Then she took the dish and came back telling us that the owner said it wasn’t undercooked and that’s how fried rice was supposed to be. Ummm, what? I explained that we’ve been here many times before and have never had s problem but know that it was undercooked. She kept arguing with me (wtf?). My daughter finally said that they just need to add water and cook it longer (she’s 11 btw) so they took our rice (that the owner I believe ate from), added water, cooked it a bit more (probably nuked it in the microwave) and brought it back like they were doing us a favor. It was still hard and we couldn’t eat it. How they handled the situation was just such poor service. So disappointed in the service and the owner. There are so many other restaurant options with better service so we will not be going back for a while.
Server was way too abrupt. Did not engage at all. Hurried us to order Experience would have been perfect with a nice server.
Best place ever!
Chris and his entire team make every visit to Yao a special occasion. Bar none, best Asian food in the DFW area.
Chris Yao cooked a fabulous ribeye steak in his sous vie cooking machine. It was perfectly cooked. We enjoyed the Shanghai lobster, soft shell crab, crab fried rice, cabbage and vanilla prawns. Always great food and service at FuziFriday’s.
I made a reservation for 3 and I arrived first. My two other guests came in and were seated where I could not see them. After 15 minutes I checked around and found them in the back of the restaurant. The waitress was so rude and annoyed that we asked her to please move us all together to my table in the front of the restaurant. She threw the silverware back at us and brought over water glasses from their table.
From that point in the service deteriorated and our lunch which was a birthday celebration was not enjoyable as the waitress basically ignored us. They brought the food, never checked back, it was really awkward. They had told me they would bring an ice cream dessert for the birthday celebrant, she was 85 and they just did nothing. The good food isn’t enough to make me go back.
George took great care if us as always. The food is always prepared perfectly and is delicious.
Best crispy beef in Dallas! Soup dumplings and jalapeño chicken also standouts.
This is by far the best Chinese food in Dallas. The service is amazing and the ambiance superb. The one thing that was disappointing is on my reservation I put down "celebrating my wife's 55th Birthday" and not a word was said about it. Other reservations we have made on Open Table for special occasions have always been acknowledged and this was ignored. I did not say anything to my wife, but I was disappointed. We'll be back though becuase the food & service is just too good to pass on.
Always great food and service. Our favorite Chinese in Dallas
Love that this is our local restaurant. The food is delicious, the service professional, and the cocktails satisfying. Picked an appetizer and a couple dishes to share and went home happy.
Great dinner at Yao Fuzi! Everything we tried was amazing!
