Andrea made us a wonderful recommendation for a Pisco sour with Peruvian pisco when I asked if she could make one for me (off-menu.) It was the most delicious sour I’ve ever had. The menu was basically made up of old favourites from previous menu iterations that didn’t disappoint. I’m a longtime customer and I’ve only had great experiences there; I can’t wait to go back!
Fabulous food, wine and service! Awesome experience-thank you!
Salad, meatballs and steak tartar were amazing! We felt very safe and service was great.
Excellent service, wonderful cocktails, and obvious care taken to ensure safety of guests!
Drinks were delicious, and the service was great, but the main course was just okay, expected to be wowed for the price point.
The ambiance , service and food were all excellent
Outstanding drinks, food, and service. Would 2000% recommend for a date night out or a solo snack and drink!
Our first bar during COVID, they gave amazing service, very knowledgeable about their cocktail menu and it made for a great night.
Excellent food and service, we will definitely be going back and would recommend this place to anyone
We went out for a special dinner after months of not going out anywhere. The place is cozy with a masculine vibe. Alcohol going to the ceiling. I inquired about getting a classic cocktail off menu and they delivered. The steak tartare was fantastic to share with my date. I ended up with the salmon for my main. It was good and the portion was large. The risotto was creamy but the next day when I had the leftover a bit of salt and pepper made it better the second time round.
My friend and I were really excited to visit Woodwork as we live about 5 hours from the city and every time we had tried to make a reservation they were booked. I think we had really high hopes.
Service was decent but not wonderful, the menu was small however we believe that was due to a limited menu after the return from COVID. We ordered a small cheese "platter" to start, it had delicious selections on it but was disappointing. No crackers, or bread came with this, you had to order that for an extra charge. Dinner was really nice, we both had the salmon with risotto, and we found the portions to be a bit off. We had likely double or triple a portion of risotto and maybe a 4oz piece of Salmon. I would try it again if the expand their menu, but for now i can say it didn't live up to the "Hype."
This was our first meal out since we started social distancing months ago and it was fantastic. The staff were lovely, professional and accommodating.
We had no reservations at any point about having decided to go out and I want to thank Woodwork for giving us a comfortable environment to be able to celebrate our anniversary at.
Stay safe everyone!!
Food was spectacular and the service was outstanding. First visit to Woodwork and it won't be my last.
Great experience all around !
Food was pretty good but short of great. Charcuterie board was really good.
Lovely dining & cocktail spot! Would definitely come back for my boujee desires.
Delectable drinks and delicious wood fired foods - a favourite stop before the Oilers and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
Nice eclectic menu. Everything was delicious though at 6oz the Hanger Steak was ahhh but a few bites. You should go 12.
Delicious meal! The chicketta is a must!
Excellent service with fantastic Food and cocktails. I would recommend this restaurant very highly!
Appetizer selection was good, Entrée & cocktail selection was limited.
Hi ChrisB, Can you elaborate a bit on what you mean by "limited"? Our cocktail menu currently has ~25 cocktails, with 100s more available off menu, which our bartenders are all too happy to make for you. We also have about 5-6 entrees at present, plus an extensive small plate selection. Thanks for you time, MGMT
I'm not even sure where to begin with this. Woodwork is simply spectacular. We started with well-portioned appetizers that could easily serve as a collection of family-style mains. The steak is an ideal representation of Alberta's finest. The wine list offers a nice range of price and variety, and the cocktails are nothing short of artistry. All of this is delivered by a friendly, knowledgable, and hospitable staff of servers and bartenders. I'd call Woodwork a must for any visit to Edmonton.
Very nice. Would go a again. More variety with and dish or two for the main would be nice.
We've been to Woodwork a few times. The atmosphere is great the drinks are perfect. However, over the last few times we've seen a decline in the mains. The chicken was good however the gravy that comes with it was so salty which push me away from eating the gnocchi that comes with it. The fries were always one of our favorites which was why my husband picked the steak frites but it seems like they've been replaced over time with just more and more spices which take away from them. The lamb belly and bread with brown butter were still good.
The food and drinks were excellent! Definitely will be back!
Quite expensive expectially drinks. My food was good but nothing to write home about, partners enjoyed his food. He ordered coffee and for 6:00 they brought him 1 cup and then took cup away to refill and we finally had to ask for it back.
They never came back to offer me another drink or refill. I asked for coffee when they brought back other one. Not offered refill.
So level of service poor for cost to dine there.
Was amazing , we will definitely go back again
Overall great experience. Fantastic cocktails and great atmosphere. Server was attentive, polite, and friendly. The one negative is we found some of the menu items to be quite small for the price.
Fantastic food and service. Portions were a little small, but you have to expect these things at a nicer nicer restaurant. 100 percent reccomend
Great ambiance, lots of fun
Beautiful place that I went to with coworkers. I’d recommend it to everyone. Love to bring my boyfriend here next.
Cozy place, great for a date. Server was very nice and helpful with the menus and specials.
Delicious food, original drinks and a great candle-lit vibe; would definitely recommend!
They did not have a large amount of gluten free options. Was hoping to have gluten free pasta with mushrooms or the chicken. Both have gluten. Had the pork chops which were tasty but way too fatty. The rest of my family enjoyed their meals.
My daughter & I enjoyed a great evening out and fantastic food.
Love this place, but the cocktails are very pricey for portion.
Woodwork will remain one of my favorite places to drink in the City
Great ambiance and “old fashioned” menu. The service was great and I appreciated that our food was cooked over the open fire. Great experience.
Delicious! We keep wondering why we don't come to Woodwork more often. Delectable wood-fired food and creative mixed drinks. A downtown gem!
