We loved this place. We sat right by the windows, watched the sun set, and saw some amazing boats. The kids even saw sea lions come out to play. Food was excellent, our waitress was great.
We have met our out of town friends here for years, always during the week when it is not crowded, quiet, and a totally relaxing experience. Sunday late morning is a totally different vibe. More people, more noise, but still good service and good food. Love this place.
Used to be good but that's no longer the case. Food seems ill-prepared and the service is not good. New owners? Staff seems ill-informed and not interested in giving good service. We won't go there again.
Our service and server were excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
We enjoyed our experience. We love the burgers and fries!
Great location and view of harbor but restaurant felt a little rundown. Family friendly... casual beach feel. It’s was ok but I will probably not go back.
Nice breakfast buffet, lots of options. Great omelets made to order.
Its a fun place on a saturday night. They had live music which was really nice
Restaurant is in the Dana Point Harbor so the few was beautiful. Server was friendly and efficient at taking our orders. Food came out quickly but is was terrible. Shrimp was way overcooked and rice pilaf had no flavor. The rolls weren't even good. Ordered a second drink & it tasted like gasoline. Went to bartender & he wasn't very nice about it but made me another which was just as bad. The only good thing that night was the entertainment. It was also very expensive for dinner I could not eat. Sorry to say but I won't be going back there again.
Great food, Great Views, Just a very nice experience overall.
Never was seated at a table was forgotten about at the bar. Luckily the bar staff were the best and you could order food there highly recommend other than that
The food was absolutely horrible. We were so disappointed considering this was Valentine’s Day. My wife ordered mahi and I ordered salmon. Both fish were dry, bland, and rubbery. My mashed potatoes seemed old, very dry. The only positives were the mai tai’s, which were good. I suggest you promote the bartender and fire the cook.
My husband & I ate dinner here for Valentine’s Day. I chose Wind & Sea for the nostalgia. My grandparents used to live nearby and I remember eating here as a child in the 70s/80s. The food and service were excellent. We shared the artichoke appetizer. I had the scallops dinner and my husband had the top sirloin. Both meals were delicious. The mango sorbet was tasty too. We’ll definitely be back!!
Valentine’s Day dinner. Place is outdated. Food was disgusting. Wasn’t offered the specials. I got sick afterwards.
Beautiful view of the water, a great server and very good food all creates a great evening! We were very pleased with our first visit to the Wind and Sea Restaurant! I would go back in a heartbeat! All of the servers and staff were wonderful and treated us as true guests!
Nacho appetizer was really good and very filling. Cheesecake was great. Main meals were ok. Nothing special
This is a fine ;place to have a good lunch or dinner overlooking the harbor. the service isg ood. The food is good. I recommend it.
Inside decor could use updating, but the location and view are tough to beat. Food was very good. We went early on a Monday evening. They seated us a window table looking out over the harbor as the sun was setting. Is was my mom’s 85th birthday. She keep going on and on about the unhurried atmosphere and very low noise level.
Large dining area, lots of tourists but still with a local feel. Best ocean sunset views around. Good food and friendly servers. Nice vibe.
Wind & Sea is a fabulous restaurant with many window tables. Almost every table is great and has a view. It is pretty expensive and they have a packed happy hour crowd, which is why it was so loud.
I would highly recommend it and will definitely be back. Thank you
Loved having the semi-circular booth for our 14th anniversary with its higher level and excellent views in two directions. Waitress was superb and asked the chef to add some cajun spice to my dish which made it just that more interesting. Lighting is soft and warm and didn't degrade the view. Will definitely return!
WE have been to the Wind and Sea on several occasions. This was a birthday celebration. The staff were very accommodating to our seating requirements do to an elderly guest who could not walk far. I did not hear any complaints about the food. Two people had the halibut special and stated the fish was very good. They especially liked the tempura prepared asparagus. My partner and were disappointed with the seafood pasta entree. The pasta sauce had no seasoning that I could taste so it was very bland.
The scallops were absolutely fantastic. Service was very good. I will definitely go back again.
We selected this restaurant for the location and the menu. Once we were seated, the waitress encouraged us to order the brunch buffet. We should have asked more questions or lucked at it before deciding. The omelette station was good, but it was very disappointing that there wasn’t any seafood on the buffet. There were very limited selections and I wouldn’t order the brunch again.
We love the Wind and Sea and had asked for a Window table with our reservation, to celebrate a family event.
We arrived early, but the hostess inssited we sit down immediately.
Unfortunately it was not a window table, it was the worst table anyone at the resturant could sit at, just outside the kitchen door, where all the noise and in and out traffic of the resturant was happening.
Immediately Window tabkes open up, but were filled as fast as they could clear the tables.
Our waitress wa scaught in all the congestion as she apssed by many time, we could not get her attention to order more drinks or get or waters refilled.
I guess booking through Open Table, our message does not get communicated?
We like the view of the harbor at the Wind & Sea. You are on the water and this adds to the ambiance. Highly recommend the happy hours. Dinners are well prepared, a bit pricey, but you will not be disappointed.
Always awesome! ❤️❤️❤️
Food is delicious. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. Live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Views are amazing! Doesn’t get any better than this ❤️
Great place to meet friends for a bite to eat with a wonderful marina view. The food was excellent and the service was perfect.
It was a great place to celebrate New Years! Food and service were great and we enjoyed the music.
love this place good food great service would recommend at any time-have been a regular and also on holidays never had a problem
New Years eve
The food was excellent, as well as the service. The restaurant is always clean and the view is great. My only negative comment is, my Long Island Iced Tea gave me a sinus headache, which I believe is usually from cheap alcohol.
Had a fabulous meal in the dining room and then went to the bar to listen to music.........so much fun! Then we went back the next day for Sunday brunch.
The food at wind and sea is okay., but really you don’t come here for the food, you’re coming for the view. The waitstaff is excellent, the view of the sunset was great.
the prime rib dinner was fair ,the meat was very fatty. i didn't saw anything the staff was very busy. last year the prime rib was excellent. i hope its better next year
Service was excellent, ambiance is lovely (3 sides ocean view), but we all had prime rib. My mom always said “get what the restaurant is famous for.” It isn’t prime rib! Should have had sea food.
Like other Xmas, I tried to look for places we don’t usually go to but just for especially occasion . I remember coming here during my younger days when I was working and I do like the ambiance because it’s in the Dana point Harbor. I was very pleased that I chose this place again. The food was good , I had the prime rib with vegetables and garlic mashed potato. Somehow I didn’t taste the garlic in there like I do at home. I have a generous serving of the beef but I i was missing the creamed corn . My husband had the lobster and it was fresh, no smell and a good portion . My son had the calamari steak which is a big size.. I didn’t particularly like it because the breading is salty. We had the clam chowder and seafood bisque which is okay . What I love is the roll which is hot and so good with butter. I asked for a second serving for the 3 of us and was given only two . Overall , we had a good Xmas lunch . The waitress is good but being very busy , was not very attentive at all. Thank you and I’m sure we will be back to try the breakfast brunch. Merry Xmas !!!
We had our annual Christmas Eve dinner here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food and service were excellent.
We got there a little before our reservation and were seated promptly at a very nice table by the window. Waitress and serving team were on it .... very professional and attentive. Food was excellent as always. Beautiful sunset and lights for the holidays.
