Wildfire - Oak Brook
Birthday celebration!! Service was outstanding food was even better!!
We made reservations for the Sunday after Valentines Day.
We were seated in the bar area which was crowded and quite loud.
Bars are normally loud so no surprise there, but was hoping to have been seated in the dining area so my wife and I could converse at a normal volume.
Food was great and our server was funny and attentive.
We’ll be going back but only if we can be seated in the dining area.
Had a great meal yesterday and our server was amazing! So on top of everything and ensured that everyone's meal was as ordered. It's clear why they only hire those with experience and a solid background in customer service.
Yes, it is an expensive meal, but when you get amazing service combined with amazing food, you cannot be upset.
A long time, special experience diner at this specific restaurant. Based on this experience, I probably will not be back soon. The food was poor: badly prepared, with debatable freshness. The ambiance was loud, with a poorly cleaned tabletop. Drinks were 25% over priced. in fact, the whole experience is now widely over priced. The staff remains professional, positive and helpful though: the only real good point about this visit.
The food was excellent as well as the service!
Sat us in the main dining room as requested! Also best martini pour around. Had a great time as usual!
Dinner was amazing! I have been many times, but it was my boyfriends first time. Our waiter was fabulous and really engaged with us throughout our time there. Can’t wait to come back!
Great experience overall.
Went for a Valentine’s Day dinner. The menu had changed regarding the cod that is usually served. However, the waiter asked them to make the cod special for us which they did. The cod was excellent, the rice not so much. Would have preferred a better table. The reservation was made several weeks in advance, but I still felt like we were stuck in a corner with a very small seat. I guess that’s what happens when you go on a busy weekend
Great service and food as usual! We will be back!!
My boyfriend and I came in to celebrate Valentine's day. The service and the food were amazing. I will definitely come back.
Jay was an outstanding server. He helped with our questions and the night went smoothly. Thanks
We were extremely satisfied with our dining experience. The food was delicious, and we could not have had more attentive, friendly and courteous servers. We are looking forward to our next visit!
Our server was outstanding. I wish I recalled his name but he really went above and beyond!
I believe they changed the recipe on one of their signature martinis as it did not taste the same. Service was slow although he was nice. Bison filet with coffee rub wasn’t as flavorful as expected.
We were seated too close to the kitchen and the noise level was high, also some smells emanating from the kitchen were not pleasant to us. Our food was very good. The waitress was nice and very busy.
It was Valetines Day so we expected a delay in service but the overall experience was not great. The food was not cooked properly and was cold upon arrival. Will never visit on a holiday again.
never disappointed at Wildfire. service and food is always on point
It seems the quality of the food continues to worsen at this location. I should have just driven a little further to Schaumburg. The service is good, the place needs some updating, and a medium steak should not be charred. Even the Stormy Night Martinis weren’t very good. Something changed here that this location just continues to go down hill.
Went for my birthday which just happens to be Valentine's Day, so needless to say, this restaurant was super busy. We arrived early for a 7 o'clock reservation, and were seated before 7.
I had the Martini flight, which was delicious. We shared an excellent Caesar salad and then enjoyed our steaks. I selected the Crusted Filet Trio, my favorite. I love steak, but not as picky about the doneness level as many, as long as it's not bloody or burnt. I ordered Medium, but received medium well. Husband's porterhouse was perfect as ordered, Med.
At the end of the meal, I was surprised with an amazing chocolate lava cake with ice cream....yum! Our server was excellent!
We always have great food & service when dining at Wildfire! Not sure what our waitress did, but our french onion soup apps came out very SLOW & so did the entrees. We didn't complain, it was Valentine's Day & knew it would be busy! A manager served us our soup (excellent) & later our entrees, apologized for the long wait & discounted our bill! We had a great dinner and dessert! Asked for my filet to be cooked a little over medium, and it was perfect!
Server was too busy and unable to properly tend to all of his tables. Did not offer dessert, rushed
Steak was over cooked bread was off our server was ill and not very attentive.
Our server was wonderful. He gave us enough time to enjoy our cocktails and our entire meal. Made our Valentine's Day dinner even better.
I’m kind of on the fence. The steak was good but it doesn’t feel the same anymore. To to- top it off, our waiter mistakenly keyed in a $50 gift card as $25, a little suspicious.
Valentine’s Day meal was outstanding! While the restuarant was VERY busy the service & food was exceptional. So worth it for a perfect celebration with our guests.
Used open table and secured a table. Wait staffer, Dan, was super chill and made sure we were well taken care of. Good food, good value.
Great food and service as usual! We were seated in the bar area so it was kind of noisy, but it was Valentine’s Day so it’s kind of expected. Great time though!
Overall it was good the Greek Salad is outstanding also had the prime rib sandwich which also was very good however the French fries were exceptionally soft not crispy at all
Loved the cornbread!! I think it took a long time to get the food but it was delicious
Amazing cornbread crusted cod, with shaved brussel sprouts..and the cranberry buyer sauce.. wow! Great cocktails. A wonderful early Valentine's evening.
I have always liked Wildfire. We took a group of ten people and the food was average. Several complaints from the group. 9 people served while one person waited for their steak. When she finally got it, it was undercooked. It went back a second time and we waited again and it came back medium
Well (original order was med rare plus). The waiter made sure to tell us it wasn’t his fault. Frankly, I would have rather had an apology that have him blame the kitchen. We also had finished first round of drinks ( those of us drinking had empty drinks for a while and I had to get waiters attention to order another round). Honestly not trying to be a jerk. This was just a poor experience. Maybe other people have close to $500 to spend on an average meal, and average service. Not me. To add insult, the steak that was served correctly after the other nine people were served should have been free. There was $20 taken off. (Maybe 50% off). What a classless move by a high end restaurant. And the manager never came by to say sorry for inconvenience let alone ask how the meal
Was. I called the next day and spoke to the manager who Apologized and said he would
look into it and get back to me. That was 3 days ago and have not heard back. Just feel
like there are a LOT of choices at this price range, from Perry’s, J Alexander’s, Ditkas, Clubhouse, Michael Jordan’s and more....all within shouting range of Wildfire. Will be back for drinks at the bar (which we enjoy) but may be a while before we come back for a meal.
