This was our first time going to West End. A friend had recommended we try it. we sat at the bar and Ari our bartender was amazing. He was very personable, on top of everything, making sure everything was great for us. The food was spectacular. It has been a long time since we have found a restaurant that has great ambiance, great food, and great staff. We are looking forward to going back again soon!
Great but sadly empty cause of virus but waiter said they wiped menus and all down! As good as always! Go!
We're regulars here - a hidden gem. Recommended for sure !
Loved our waitress, Aubrey!! Would definitely ask for her again. Pleasantly surprised with the twilight menu!
My only complaint is they rush you a bit. Your table is only reserved for 90 minutes. I think it should be a minimum of 2 hours. Order drinks and they immediately are looking to take your dinner order.
Always delicious food, artistically prepared, service is excellent
Overall great experience. Had a one price special which includes appetizer, main and dessert. Had the pork chop and it was perfect. Service and drinks were very good
Hadn’t been there is many, many years. Was outstanding. Early bird dinner a great value.
Great food and ambience
A great place to have a great meal every-time. I tried a new dessert and love it.
Excellent as always. The twilight menu is a great value with lots of choices. Never disappoints!
Tucked in the corner of a shopping mall but wonderful! Cioppino was awesome. Fun bartenders.
Excellent waiter...Food VG, as usual! Breads always a treat
West End Cafe is one of my favorite ladies lunch spot. We were four and each of us had a different meal. Everyone said the food was delicious. I especially loved the farro and quinoa salad which had cranberries in it accompanied with a grilled chicken and Brie panini. There was so much to eat that I took home half the sandwich.
Excellent service, food etc. too noisy
Alwyas the best go to restaurant! Never lets is down
We love to celebrate birthdays here. Never too loud to hear one another. Food is consistent and service is great!
West End cafe is always a favorite go to for us, however Saturday night not so much. Our waiter not very attentive , and we were seated next to very loud noisy table of 4. As the tables are very close together it became almost impossible for the two of us to have a conversation. We should have asked to be moved, our mistake . Of course we will go back because we love the food, but we will be more vocal about our table!
Great as usual
Food is always exceptional. Have been going for years. You won't be disappointed!
I'm never disappointed when I dine at WEC. Our group is never rushed, the seating around the perimeter of the restaurant is greatly appreciated and service is never overbearing. Menu provides an ample selection for the most discerning patron. Thank you for your continued high quality service!
Lovely evening, the prefix was a great value! Will be sure to go back with my family. Something for everyone --even the picky eaters.
Great dinner and amazing waitress. Food was excellent as always,
As usual, price fixe dinner totally worth it - multiple choices - all delicious!
It was an enjoyable evening and the food was delicious.
Great food at reasonable prices.
Meal perfect but desserts where disappointing. That pistachio sundae sure took a dive!
always consistent! food excellent. service great. honored resv. on time! a go to always!
We went for the twilight menu. It is a great value and you get to enjoy the good things on the menu.
First time there. Went for Long Island Restaurant week. I was pleasantly surprised with the service and the food. The server was attentive but not overbearing. The food was excellent. I had the pork chop and my date had the salmon. Both were moist and delicious, prepared perfectly.
I would definitely recommend this place and will go back again.
I felt very rushed ... it was the last night of restaurant week & were seated, Orderd and served 3 courses in an hour. It would have been nice if I’d been given a few more minutes before the next course came out. I couldn’t even eat or enjoy the desert because it came out so fast after dinner. It was ice cream so it’s not like I could have asked for it to go. All in all the food was very good, they just need to slow down a little.
Great deal for restaurant week. The flat iron steak was excellent and the portions were plentiful.
To close for table setting but the food and service was wonderful. Recommend a during the week reservation. Not the quiet place for Friday or Saturday. But good no doubt. Good value!
Never a disappointment great staff, great meal have never heard anyone leave unhappy
The menu was eclectic and everything we ordered was prepared to perfection! We live on LI and are thrilled when we can enjoy a delectable meal without going into Manhattan! We had the rock shrimp taco appetizer and beet & goat cheese salad.. mmm so good! Then braised boneless short ribs and shrimp risotto followed by a fabulous walnut apple vanilla ice cream dessert. Everything was fantastic! Be sure to make a reservation as it is always packed!
A nice meal. Restaurant week and the choices were pretty good. We had the organic chicken and the pork. Both Very good. Desserts good (warm brownie and Apple Crisp) and and we liked our appetizers of Shrimp Tacos and Salad. The place was packed as it is always busy - no matter what day you go. Packed to the point that it's uncomfortable. Squeezing tables together etc. The parking lot handicapped ramp was a dangerous joke. In fact, saying you're handicap accessible? Well - let's just say the definition of accessible for those physically challenged is up to debate. I found it all pretty difficult. But; I still think WEC is a 4 star experience.
West End has been a favorite restaurant of mine. On 1/30/20 I went for dinner. Upon sitting down, I felt something pinch me. When I moved I felt something caught in my pants and tear them. I stood up and saw that the chair had a piece of the wicker material sticking out. I informed our server but no reaction. I then asked if they could bring me another chair. After waiting for 5 minutes, I had to swap the chair with another empty table’s chair. After about another 2 to 3 minutes they finally showed up with a chair. When dessert arrived I asked the server if I could speak to the manager. I had found it strange that he had not stop by the table to inquire if everything was ok. Turns out that he was neither informed or dismissed the incident when told. After I explained what happened, he asked how much the pants had cost so that he could refund me. He didn’t understand that it wasn’t about the pants, it was about the nonchalant way that it was handled by the server, bus-boy and him (manager). I did receive a gift card as compensation.
The food was outstanding. Sometimes I hesitate to order salmon because it can be boring, but the West End Cafe got it right it was flavorful, moist and delicious.
The 5 stars for value was because it was Restaurant Week, normally I find it a bit overpriced. After my meal tonight, perhaps the prices are justified.
The noise level can get very loud, but requiring a seat against the wall worked very well.
As fork service, Our we received our food promptly, but the server wasn’t very friendly
