Vito's Restaurant & Lounge
We loved Vito’s. It’s old school Italian and so hip! Great live music too!
It's like a vintage basement with delicious food and drinks. The lasagne is amazing! Went on an evening before any entertainment begun so the noise level was moderate. Hope to catch a show there soon. Service and food were spot on.
Good, but not great. If you're looking for date night where you can't actually talk to your date, this is the place.
The food was perfect and our server made wonderful recommendations. Although no live show was performing, the restaurant had perfect ambiance. This restaurant never disappoints!
This is a jazz club so don't expect a quiet conversation. At times yhe conversation noise equalled that of the music which I attribute to a boisterous table of patrons.
The one drawback of the venue is how dark ot is. It was VERY hard to read the menus, especially the drink menu with small print, with the faint lighting. Table candles help but not much and not enough...
The music is free so can't complain too much and is a good venue for music and drinks. Food is a bit more tricky and the service felt a little short-handed
Love this place so very much. Good food good staff good vibe.
The only complaint I have is their drink menu was very limited. The bar looked fully stocked but several drinks we tried to order weren’t available.
This place is a gem! Second visit, this time with a large party of 9 making full use of the lounge and restaurant. Fantastic and authentic service, keeping it all real, with some of the best classic Italian demonstrating the nearly 70 years of competence and style.
Perfect choice for dinner before a Towne Hall event. Great food & service.
We loved the atmosphere and the food was amazing.
Great classic Italian restaurant atmosphere and food.
A great place for excellent food with a intimate setting. Will definitely be back!
Excellent experience with my out of town friends. Food was incredible , service was top notch and the entertainment was wonderful. Thank you for being so accommodating. I will recommend to others and definitely return again!
Best underground Italian and by far the best cocktails
Solid food and love the ambiance. A little noisy, but not so loud I couldn't have a 1:1 conversation.
It is ok, overall, especially for folks attending Town Hall events. However, they seem to have only creamy soups, and an Italian restaurant should be serving Minestrone. Also, it is way too dark; I almost tripped going into the restaurant and also coming out of the restroom...lighten it up!!
Great old-style neighborhood Italian restaurant with surprisingly good food, great bar and fun atmosphere.
Food was average. Very noisy, you could hardly hear the piano player
I've been to Vito's once before and I was very impressed with the food, service, history, and overall vibe, and ambiance. This night, I celebrated my bday. Again another great experience and the live entertainment gave me a shout out and dedicated a song to me after my server brought me a surprise treat with a candle. Great place for an intimate date, after 5, host a business prospect, and more. I never leave reviews but I really like this place. Get the fillet mignon. Yassssss.
The food and service are consistently good. It is a warm atmosphere. The owners and staff are always very friendly.
Time Warp! great food, music, drinks and service. Hadn't been there in 30 years. they kept the good parts and fixed all the tired. Give it a try! I'll be going back.
Vito's has excellent food and entertainment if you like good music. We went to hear Jovino Santos Neto, Brazilian pianist/composer and all around great musician. Their beef version of osso buco is excellent. Everyone liked their meals of pizza and spaghetti as well. It's a fun relatively inexpensive place without the added cost of a cover charge. Thank you, Vito's!
We had a great time. Food was wonderful - enjoyed the pianist-great atmosphere. We plan on becoming regulars.
Fabulous atmosphere, delicious food, great service, wonderful music. So fun!!
Vito's has unique ambience. Excellent food, wine and service. Great spot for a date night. All was great except the in a line tables are a bit too close to each other. Yes I will come back and recommend this restaurant!
What a great restaurant, a throw back to the Golden age of Italian dining. Felt just like I was in the mafia. Can't believe I've lived in Seattle since 1998 and am trying this place for the first time just now!
Very noisy. Good live jazz but it couldn’t compete with the loud crowd which was disappointing.
Met Brother from Sacramento
The food is nothing to get excited about, but the drinks, music and ambiance make it a perfect evening.
I love the dark, swanky, but casual vibe.
Great food and they don’t gouge you on the price. Highly recommend.
Really impressed with the service and accommodations made for our reservation. Really impressed and grateful, thank you for an awesome date night out! We will be back with more friends!
I love Vitos! Such a great place to take friends, enjoy music and great food. Stephanie always takes such amazing care of us. Great wine, amazing (proper!) martinis and their lasagna is one of my favorite dishes ever.
I honestly hate to disparage someone’s business.... But this place is pathetic. Old, tired, dingy and terrible uninspiring food. Why keep it open? Obviously the owner doesn’t care about this restaurant.
CALL GORDON RAMSAY...!
Entertainment is really good but there were more “bar flies” than eating customers. Very sad.
Fix it or close it...! Sorry to say.
How about your rename your 'noise level' meters from 'energetic' to 'NEEDS SOUND DAMPENING SO I CAN HEAR THE DAMN BAND". Sure. Vitos is a classic.. Food was fab.. Drinks are fab. Service was top notch.
But if you're going to have live musicians trying to play jazz where people are supposed to be listening, then do SOMETHING about treating the ceiling, or booking band events separately.. Otherwise just use prerecorded music.. it's an insult to musicians.
Overall, a great experience. I was part of the Vito’s crowd back in the 1980s and had not been back since. Lots of remodeling since then, but all to the good. More open. Loved seeing the pictures of the people I remember, including Vito, still up on the walls. What I ordered was awesome, however my wife was a little disappointed in hers, as it was supposed to have crab in itand we sure didn’t see any.
Vito’s is a gem! It is an awesome throwback to the 50’s with its dark atmosphere, engaging patio player and wonderful martinis and pasta. We had a memorable night and would definitely return.
Nice place for dinner with friends or a date spot. Definitely more of a date spot later in the evening when they start to play live music. The drinks were okay but just not our style. Opting for the wine is a safe bet.
What a fantastic find in Capitol Hill. Food is great, music is great, and service was fantastic. Go and eat there you will not regret it
