Vino Wine & Tapas Room is a European-style wine bar and Spanish tapas kitchen on Ventura Blvd in Encino. The wine list runs deep: 75+ wines by the glass, 125+ bottles from 8 countries, and wine flights if you'd rather explore than commit.

The menu is made for sharing, from croquetas de jamón and gambas al ajillo to cheese boards and paella for two. Guests often call it their go-to date night spot, and we stay open late: until 11 PM Sunday to Thursday, midnight Friday and Saturday.

Happy hour runs daily from 3:30 to 6 PM, with $9 wines by the glass and small plates. Join our guided tasting of five wines at 7 PM, with dates to be announced. Walk-ins welcome.

This was our first meal here. We booked after reading the DineLA Week menu. Upon arrival and reviewing the menu we decided the Fine LA menu would be way too much food (both of us would need to order it), so we picked items from the regular menu: Chicken Croquettes that featured mashed chicken flavored with red peppers and seasoning rolled into mashed potato balls, and drizzled with sauce. Not traditional Spanish croquettes but tasty. The patatas bravas were very good. Next came the whole fried Branzino sea bass that was as we were alerted: tasty but messy to eat. The head and tail were removed before brining it to the table. Glad I know how to cook so I could pull the bony spine out and then pick out the slightly dry/overcooked fish chunks. The chimichurri sauce accompanying it was tasty and covered over the overcooked parts. We ordered a few glasses of wine-one was $21 a glass/the price of a full bottle at the store-Yowzah. The wine bill escalated quickly, and yours will too with plenty of interesting choices by the glass. Skipped desserts-nothing that jumped out as must-try. Live music, a terrific solo guitarist is the appeal point here that draws in a crowd from 8pm onward. The bar area was full, but tables in the main room didn’t fill up until around 9pm. We plan to return to try other interesting items on the menu soon.

A tremendous wine list of all prices to fit all pockets. Large selection of tapas which were extremely tasty and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.

My Favorite Valley spot! I've been coming here since they opened. So I've seen the menu change a bit. It used to have more happy hour items and but still has some of my favorites atmosphere is is a little hideaway Gem in the neighborhood.

Great vibe even for big parties! Food was delicious but the portions are kinda small for bigger parties . Overall a fun moody place that’s great for dinner.

You must get the Whole Branzino! I make my chiropractor appt. with Dr John Franco in the neighborhood at 3pm so I can walk in at 3:30 when Vino opens just for this lightly fried fish chimichurri a, salad and red sangria on the side:-)

Food was disappointing. Croquetas were mushy, lacked flavor. Jamon iberico was dry. Paella was spicy, not authentic. La Paella in Los Angeles is the real deal.
