We enjoyed our dinner very much
Very nice restaurant in Chiswick. Really good service, friendly and attentive. Great food and wine for a lovely evening. They also had live music on Saturday evening.
We visited Villa di Geggiano for a double birthday celebration. Atmosphere was spot on. The staff are so attentive and professional, but manage to keep a wonderful unstuffy feel to the restaurant. All our dishes were perfectly cooked, and tasted authentically Italian. Presentation was beautifully elegant. The wine (from Sting and Trudy Styler’s Italian vineyard) was excellent. Overall a most enjoyable time was had by all, and we will definitely be returning.
Taking my husband for dinner to celebrate his birthday as well as Valentine's Day was a huge success. We were greeted and given full attention when we entered with the manager remembering we were celebrating a birthday and offering some prosecco for us to start. The service throughout the evening was immaculate with a friendly and knowledgeable waiter, always there to top up our wine glasses, amazing food (the tiramisu was unreal, as were the tuna carpaccio and the gnocchi with pesto) and a nice and calm ambience great for a chat and a nice evening out. Would definitely recommend!
Outstanding place. Great service, wonderful food, lovely setting and fantastic wine. You really feel like a pampered pet in a Tuscan villa. Try and get Alex to look after you, what a star! Thanks again.
A very nice restaurant. With good customer service.
We had a birthday lunch there and enjoyed the experience.
Great restaurant lovely atmosphere and great food.
Our previous experience of Villa di Geggiano has been very good - very good service, very good food, and great ambience. Last Saturday , however, we were very disappointed - the service was extremely slow and not great quality (eg it was a very long time before we were able to order wine, the olives we ordered as an aperitivo were delivered with our primi course, it took nearly half an hour to obtain the bill at the end of the meal). We were seated in the rear room of the restaurant which seemed only to have a single waiter looking after all the customers in the room, which was clearly part of the problem.
Excellent evening with friends steak and cod were beautifully cooked.
A fantastic place with a robust wine list. Lovely for a formal dinner and equally suitable for a more private tryst! Only issue... not the best option for plant-based diners. But even so, the staff and kitchen were accomodating and the bespoke dishes were delightful. Many thanks to the entertaining waiter who served us.
What a fantastic venue with impeccable service! Will return
There were some elements that were very good (my starter, wife's starter and main) but some that were only okay (the wine and desserts) and a couple that were poor, e.g. my and my auntie's pasta was undercooked. I'm not talking al dente, with a bit of a bite, which is perfect - but actually rather hard, which is a bit of a sin when you're talking pasta! The atmosphere was lovely, with nice lighting and a piano player, but one of the waiters was rather aloof and dismissive of my auntie - not very warm. The restaurant doesn't need much to make it great, but it's not quite there, particularly at the prices it charges. Like I say, some really nice elements, but not (yet) the complete package for such a lovely place. Hopefully that will change soon!
This was our second visit following a lovely evening at the restaurant on a Thursday back in November. This time it was on a Sat night and a completely different experience. We had booked a table for 4 at 8.15 and arrived a few minutes early and we were directed to the lounge area as our table wasnt ready .This was pretty full as,a large party was having drinks in there. We sat down and were offered the drinks menu . Our drinks arrived with complimentary nuts. We eventually got called through to our table approx an hour later where a couple of people were still laying it up. Menus arrived and we ordered and waited and waited our starters arrived just before 10pm . We had main courses by which time it was after 10.45. The waiter was very good but the situation was out of his hands. When the food did arrive it was very good but unfortunately two of us had really gone past it as it was so late leaving an overall feeling of disappointment . Would we go back....certainly not on a Saturday.
Amazing food and service. The set menu was good, as was the wine
Have lived in Chiswick for 13 years and never visited Villa si Geggiano or its predecessor before. Went on my birthday and really enjoyed the food, wine and service. Will definitely be back.
Straight to the point, portions rediculously tiny, as for the drinks.. £10 for the cheapest white wine on the menu for 125ml... The food tasted ok but the small portion of pasta for my daughter was literally 3 forks. And as for the discretionary 12,5% service charge, well, you have a long road before I part from it.
Overall, no, I can swallow the tiny food portions, but to ask for a medium quality white wine £60 per bottle (and I checked it goes for & 12 on the trade) and £10 for a sip of it, is simply out of the question, so I am not recommending it...
Excellent food, amazing atmosphere and great service. Will be back for sure.
Great service great food love this place
A real gem..: unbelievably attentive service - great wines and cocktails- delicious food.... great value .... great atmosphere with the piano ...
Excellent first visit to an authentic Italian restaurant where the staff are attentive and fun and the food is great.
The venue itself is playfully decorated and eases you into a good mood from the outset.
We will go again.
Fantastic place and really good food. Excellent wine selection
We have a really delicous lunch at Villa di Geggiano last Friday. It was a Christmas celebration with a friend and we loved the food, the ambience and the service. Considering it was a set lunch menu at great value, the calibre of the food was truly excellent. I have eaten at the Villa many times and really look forward to another visit soon. For great food & wine and a very warm reception in beautiful surroundings, look no further in Chiswick than Villa di Geggiano!
Second visit with my wife for her birthday. Hospitality, service and amazing food. Not cheap by no means! But worth every penny.
We’ll be back.
my wife and i celebrated an anniversary here on friday evening. its a wonderful environment and service and food do not disappoint. The team are incredibly welcoming and the live pianist playing throughout set a great mood.
A very classy experience in all respects, the environment and service - exceptional
Great food, excellent service and an great mix of modern and classic in ambience. Recommended.
Another great visit to this restaurant. The staff are ever so welcoming and the food was delicious.
Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The sommelier spent time pairing wines with the meal. The atmosphere was perfect with live piano. Will definitely be back again; one of the best restaurants we've been to in a long time
I would like to talk directly. We know them well, but this was a one off VERY POOR visit. They are normally very good. We had a new waiter that didn't speak good english, he couldn't take the order well or get it right in terms of who had what. They delivered other people's food as well. The waiter couldn't answer our questions well because he didn't know answer and his english was a barrier. The food was delivered after around 90 mins because they were "busy". We need to speak directly to them rather than just here. Some of the food portions were mixed up as they were clearly the appetizer size as well for main dishes.
The maitre d’ could not have been more welcoming and friendly. He orchestrated our evening. Our waiter was charming and helpful. In fact, all the staff were great.
We enjoyed the food as well. The sommelier recommended an excellent wine. Hard to beat!
Always good. Welcoming staff, interesting menu, superb food, good wine list, nice setting. Works for couple, groups and families.
Lovely ambience helped by the pianist and good lighting. Missed the lamb chops which were on the menu but enjoyed risotto with perfectly underdone scallops. Wine list could do with more whites from Friuli or Alto Adige.
Perfect as ever , great food great service . Great for a special occasion xx
Really lovely Italian restaurant. An amazing pianist was playing and the ambience is really nice. Food is delicious with high quality products and great selection of wines
Fabulous evening. Great food and service exceptional. A big favourite in Chiswick.
After continually passing what looked like an enchanted forest along Chiswick High Road, I finally decided to book a table for some drinks for myself and a few friends.
We were escorted to the lounge upon arrival by the very friendly staff, and we all gasped at how beautiful the place was.
The drinks were all so lovely, alongside the nibbles and we had the perfect amount of service and privacy from the staff. A wonderful evening altogether, we can’t wait to come back.
The staff at Villa di Geggiano made so much effort to make my 11 year old daughter’s birthday special. Lovely team, lovely restaurant - thank you so much!!
Great food. Everything we tried was delicious. The decoration is a bit stange but not too intense so it was fine. The service could is very polite and helpful bit I would prefer a bit more informal.
