The food was excellent from appetizers to pasta , pizza to dessert - I would recommend the slow cooked duck ragu. Staff were helpful and courteous We went on a Friday night so we also had live entertainment which adds to the place's charm. The only thing I believe could have made the experience even better was if the songs played were more familiar

There is no toilet facilities for restaurant customers. Restaurant customers must use public restrooms with different people who drink beer in the street. Some of them very unsocial ... Punks, freaks...
So it is impossible to have evening dress dinner there....

We went on a free music friday and it was a lovely ambience and setting. They had gluten free pizza and gnocchi which was great and whislt they were decent, they weren't amazing. Would highly recommend for a pre performance meal or just an unusual setting.

Booked Meal @ Friday's music event for 8pm. Pianist did not show up. No music at all. (Not even background music). Ambience poor as most people seemed to be there for event.
We were looking forward to the meal & event as we were only in London for 4 days.

Would not really recommend cheese platter as there is hardly enough for one person, never mind to share.
Main meal was fine.

Staff were pleasant. However, manager did not advise that the pianist was not coming until well after 9pm. Customers seemed to leave quite soon after that.
A disappointing evening.

Booked this restaurant as on the website ( and on the menu) it states Live Jazz on Friday evenings. Thought this would add to the ambience along with being part of the Royal Albert Hall. We arrived for our booking @ 8pm and were shown to the left hand-side of the restaurant which really did not have much character. On enquiring about the Jazz, I was informed that there wasn't any that night! Although very tasty, our food was served incredibly quickly and it was then pointed out that the kitchen closed at 9pm so we'd need to order any desserts. Probably a great place if attending a performance, but not for a relaxing meal.

We enjoyed our lunch at Verdi, the only complaint was that the water for the table was slightly warm, if this could me improved it would be excellent. The service was good and the food delicious.

We chose to dine at Verdi because it was within the RAH and therefore catered to the pre-theatre crowd. We booked with OpenTable, received email confirmation of our booking, but the restaurant didn't have our 5:45 reservation. They seated us anyway but we were shuttled off to the right where all the patrons were clearly headed onto the RAH with ZERO atmosphere. The left side looked buzzy and preferable. We had allotted plenty of time to dine before the show but our starters arrived within seconds of our order being placed -- clearly pre made -- and our main course arrived instantaneous to when we finished our first course so we felt like we were being rushed. In the end, we had eaten and were out in less than 45 minutes. Never again.

The Verdi Restaurant within the Albert Hall serves very well as a meeting point before a concert, with friendly, well trained staff presenting an Italian-style menu. The food was delivered in good time, and was well cooked. I chose a chicken dish, and asked our waiter to recommend either salad or potatoes, he advised lovely roasted new potatoes, and he was absolutely right, delicious and appropriate for the dish. The meal was an affordable treat and a wonderful start to our evening in the Albert Hall, without the hassle of getting from the restaurant to the concert.

This restaurant is inside the Albert Hall, so we (wife and I) thought it would be a good venue for eating after a Prom. The maitre d' was helpful when I pointed out we couldn't predict when the concert would end, and a table was kept for us, 30 minutes after booked time. Beyond that, not much to be said for it. I had the Raviolini (curious name, suggesting tiny pasta pockets - they were huge!); if an Italian-themed restaurant can't do pasta, it's in trouble; Verdi is in trouble. The pasta was leathery, suggesting it might even have been - horror of horrors - microwaved! Awful. Wife's Linguine was "OK, not special", and our desserts were much less than scrumptious. So all in all very poor, pretty expensive, and sadly disappointing.

Enjoyable pre- late Prom supper. Attractive decor, friendly service. Pasta dish a little dry, tomato salad very good, gelato excellent. Window table pleasant until bright flood lights from outside glared brightly at us and spoiled ambience.

Went here for dinner on a saturday night, there was no show on so it was extremely quiet. Unfortunately when we got there, the service was slow but they made up for it through the rest of the evening, being very attentive and friendly. The food is the highlight of Verdi. Lovely mozzarella salads, the fish was tasty and the pasta was cooked well.
Overall, I would definitely recommend going, it's in such a great location but perhaps only go when there is a show as otherwise, you will be the only people there!

We went over a bank holiday when there wasn't a performance at Royal Albert Hall. As such the atmosphere was a little lacking - it was really quiet!! I would have thought because of this we would have got extra special service, but they got our wine choice wrong, the bruschetta was as hard as a rock and my guest's canneloni was completely dry. A disappointing trip to Verdi I'm afraid. Only go for a drink pre a show should nothing else be available.

I dined here in their opening week and was worried about teething problems, but the food tasted fresh and as good as anything I've eaten in Italy. I ordered the pollo stone baked pizza and Caprice salad. It was served quickly and with little fuss. The interior was modern and not what I expected but the overall experience was good. Great place to pop into before a show.

Booked a table for two before the Bonnie Raitt concert in June. We only had an hour, so asked for a speedy service which didn't seem to phase the kitchen despite the restaurant being full. The room is lovely, light and airy and didn't feel cramped even though the tables were quite close together. The food was more than good enough for the occasion, but I wouldn't be returning if it weren't for the convenience to the Albert Hall. Restaurants in the area are scarce anyway so the Hall has a bit of a monopoly. Overall, Cafe Consort ticks all the boxes for a pre-concert experience and the bill was reasonable given the location.
