Downstairs in the wine cellar is where many people hold private parties of various sizes, and what a splendidly beautiful room it is, done in polished wood, with a lovely fireplace, the tables impeccably set, the stemware thin, the temperature geared to the maintenance of the wine.
Also an outstanding feature of the wine cellar is a heated granite table that can accommodate up to sixteen guests.
Linguine con Frutta di Mare
Sauted lobster, crabmeat, shrimp and fresh herbs in a plum tomato fra diavolo sauce
Homemade gnocchi with braised pork, sage and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
Grilled primed aged filet mignon served with sauteed mushrooms and roasted potatoes
First dinner out since Corona virus. It was my sons college graduation and my daughters high school graduation. Everybody was so professional and attentive. We were sitting outside and the decorations were beautiful. Everyone was wearing a mask. The food was excellent, especially the Chilean seabass that was the fish of the day. They gave a free dessert to my kids too, and most of us had a dessert on our own. Will totally recommend going for dinner here. Loved it!
Outstanding food and service .. as always!
Great to be back at this wonderful restaurant. Excellent service and the food was excellent out on the patio.
The food was magnificent. They were very friendly and quick to put up umbrellas during a small shower. We weren’t rushed and enjoyed our birthday celebration.
Food tasted like Lemon Lysol wipes
Perhaps on cutlery or plates
Very expensive-at least over $100 pp
The team at Valbella continues to deliver! Food, service, and experience was awesome! What a great spot to celebrate a special occasion!
Outstanding service, good food, nice wine selection and a comfortable ambience. We would go there again.
We had a great time. Service was ok although the waiter was earnest. The hosts/maitre ‘d were great. Food was good but perhaps not worth the high cost. Was with a group of 6 so wasn’t keeping track (maybe someone ordered expensive wine?) but was a bit surprised at my portion of the bill. Overall a nice place and good for a special occasion.
Had a lovely evening from the minute we entered as there is a welcoming, hospitable greeting by the manager and the hostess. The food is delectable.... or bettered by the first class service!
Expensive for little value. Couldn't figure out who the waiter was. Table next to us was offered a table in the wine room because they ordered a higher priced wine. I requested downstairs for a birthday surprise and was seated upstairs. So I needed to spend an extra 100.00 more on my bottle and then I would've been seated downstairs? I think they are too big for their britches. Applausi which is not too far from Valbella, supersedes this place with food, service, price and ambience all wrapped up in one!
Dinner portion was skimpy. Waiter never came back to check on us after dessert.
My fiancé and came here for Valentines Day, and it didn’t not meet our expectations. Once we were seated it took about 10 minutes for our waiter to deliver us our menus and asked if we wanted anything to drink. A new waiter came and presented us with the wine options, we ordered. When our wine came, we placed our dinner order. The waiter insisted that we order dessert now or we would have to wait longer after diner. We didn’t know if we even wanted dessert, so we just said no. After the waiter took our orders, a couple came and sat down at the table next to us. Their service was much more pleasant and professional. However, what angers us was that they got their appetizers and main entrees, before we even got our appetizers. The waitstaff could clearly see we were frustrated and upset. 30 minutes went by when our waiter said, the food should be out in about 10 minutes. The food finally came out and was average at best. For the service, quality of food, and price, we would rather go down the street to Lugano’s. The service, price, and food is better. We will not be going back to Valbella.
Great Valentines night.
Valentine’s Day is always special here and they do an amazing job transforming the restaurant into small intimate tables. They offered both a special and their regular menu which was awesome.
Favorite place to go for a fancy dinner! Made our Valentine’s Day just perfect
Service was very poor and food was poor going to this restaurant for twenty years will not be rushing back
It was one of my top 3 worst meals I’ve ever had at a restaurant. My dinner was just very bad.
My wife thought I was exaggerating and she tried it. She had a bite and couldn’t believe how bad it was.
Another great dinner at Valbella. Spur of the moment decision to go out mid-week because hubby felt like dinner at Valbella, and they did not disappoint. Food was perfect as was the service.
Service is top notch here. We had a small issue during dinner and the manager could not have dealt with it better, he was so nice and truly made us feel special.
One of the best dining experiences I've ever had.... very accommodating and wait staff is extremely attentive.
The service was terrible. It took almost an hour between appetizers/salads and the main meal.
Food was excellent. Our server recommended an excellent Brunello di Montalcino. My first time at the Greenwich location but not my first time at Valbella. I will definitely be back!
Valbella has become our "go to " restaurant for special occasions. It is just magnificent in every way.
Good food and great service.
I love this place. The ambience is tremendous. Most men were wearing sport coats. The menu is diverse and the food is excellent. The service is fantastic. I recommend the Valet parking because parking on the street is limited. I am anxious to go back.
you always get a great meal here anytime and all the time friendly professional staff all in a nice setting.....reservations are aq must
One of the finest Italian restaurants around. NYC quality located in CT. Excellent food, plenty of specials and outstanding service. Our favorite restaurant in the Tri State Area.
Delicious food in a warm and welcoming setting. We sat next to the fireplace which was delightful. Always an enjoyable meal at Valbella.
We had been wanting to try Valbella's for a while and going early on New Years Eve seemed like a good idea. Overall the dining room atmosphere and the service were very good HOWEVER the food was a big letdown. The $21 meatballs we decided to start with were cold and tough and the salads were flavorless. One of the fish entrees was good but the Branzino entree was a huge disappointment flavor wise and the portion consisted of half a fish (one side). Not sure what all the hype is about considering the food quality does not match the sky high prices. We really wanted to love it but there are so many places around that serve much better food.
Never a disappointment. The food and service is excellent.
We had reservations for our family on Christmas eve. It took awhile to be seated because the restaurant was busy. The wait was well worth it. The food and service were excellent. It was an enjoyable experience.
We enjoyed amazing ambiance in the wine cellar for our private party coupled with delicious food and incredible service! #winning!
It was a great time!
We love Valbella for great food, lovely service and we try always to celebrate special occasions there..
The food is always excellent
The service is most attentive
The atmosphere is quite welcoming
We always enjoy both lunch and dinner
As always amazing food and and experience. Highly recommended!!!
Beautiful atmosphere. Staff made us feel
Like a regular. Excellent! Will
Definitely be back.
Great experience overall but we had two filet orders - the med rare came out med well and even after a redo, it wasn’t a juicy med rate and overall both were dry and tasteless
